My family have owned a property in the rural commune of Agnac, just outside the village of Eymet, since 2000. During that time I have come to know Leeann & Guy. Friends have stayed at Maison 20 & have often been in Guy's Brocante. I had never stayed at Maison 20 until recently, In January 2022 we sold our property. In April, I had to tidy up a few details regarding the sale. I stayed 3 nights at Maison 20, It is a delightful place to stay. I stayed in the upstairs apartment, which comfortably would have accommodated 3 people. The living area had a good little kitchen, dining & lounge area. Everything that might require to cook your own meals was there. The apartment was spotlessly clean & very nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable & all the linen was available for your use. I didn't ask for breakfast, however Leeann will provide a simple breakfast if you require. The apartment is located within a 5 minute walk to the bastide, where there are a number of excellent restaurants. Andine is my favourite, which serves Peruvian cuisine. My stay was perfect & I thought very reasonable in terms of the price. I can thoroughly recommend the property & Leeann is a delight.…
February, not the best month for a short holiday. A bit chilly, a bit wet but when we arrived at Maison No.20, we forgot all about that. A lovely decorated flat with a French feel, where it was warm and very cosy. The bed was very comfortable and each morning there was a basket with fresh baguette and croissants......oh, and home-made banana bread or something else sweet. Leeann gave us local info about markets in the area and restaurant recommendations. She also turned out to be very technical when we had a problem with the TV. A great place to stay, without any doubt!
Really warm and welcoming hosts the moment we arrived. Leann and Guy are lovely hosts and most helpful. Our apartment was beautiful decorated and furnished to a very high standard - beautiful crisp linen super comfy bed - spotless clean. To our surprise we were provided with breakfast every morning with a lovely basket of croissants - banana loaf and bread, refreshments in our fridge with fresh orange juice butter milk etc. Eymet is very quiet in November month but we loved the peace, and quiet roads since we were there to explore the Dordogne. We hope to return one day. Highly recommend
We spent a month touring southwest France and spent 4 nights in Eymet at Maison No.20. In hindsight, we wished we had stayed there longer - it was so perfect. Beautiful french decor, spacious, clean, comfortable home with king-sized bed, high ceilings and some lovely antique accents. Hostess very informative re: restaurants and surrounding area. She pointed us toward 2 terrific outdoor markets in nearby towns. There are 3-4 very very good restaurants right in Eymet and we very much enjoyed their menus. Each morning, a basket of yummy fresh muffins, baguettes was delivered to the back door!
We stayed in Le Petit Maison. It’s a lovely property and ideal for a couple or a small family. The furnishings and finish is exceptional. It’s like a top notch 5* hotel suite. Leeann is an exceptional host. After a long drive we were warmly greeted by Leeann and shown around the property. The house has been designed with great attention to detail. Everything that makes a great rental has been thought through very carefully. Lovely furnishings. A gorgeous bathroom. Excellent quality bed linens and towels. Unlike many properties we have rented there was coffee, tea, orange juice and milk in the fridge. Breakfast was delivered In the morning and consisted of fresh croissants, bread and homemade banana bread (which was wonderful). Eymet is a delight. Maison 20 is a short walk from everything. You should definitely ask Leeann for her restaurant recommendations!!! We can’t wait to return!…
We went to Eymet for a wedding and it was just the perfect long weekend. A nice and warm welcome from our hosts made us feeling home from the first minute we entered the appartment. Highly recommended!
We’ve just returned after a 4 night stay in La Petite Maison. Before we booked we’d read the many glowing reviews so our expectations were high - but they were exceeded. The 2 story apartment (plus gallery / mezzanine) is thoughtfully decorated and equipped. The bathroom is fab and the main bedroom spacious with a lovely kingsize bed. Leeanne and Guy were great hosts. The information and help they gave us before and during our visit helped make our stay a total pleasure. Fresh home baked goods for breakfast too! Thank you
Stayed at Leeann and Guys lovely top floor apartment while we were in Eymet for a wedding and we had the best stay. The apartment was stylish and comfortable (especially the bed) and we had fresh bread, butter, jams and croissants brought up each morning. Leeann is lovely, very friendly and super helpful and the village is beautiful. Highly recommend a stay here.
My wife and I have just completed our fourth stay at Maison 20 (and we travel from Australia for the pleasure)! We keep saying that we really should try somewhere else. But where else do you find such lovely hosts as Leeann and Guy, such exquisite accommodation, such a lovely town as Eymet and such wonderful countryside. We love every minute of our stay in Maison 20 and while I keep threatening Leeann that we will need to try somewhere else - I doubt they it will ever happen! They are simply the best.
We chose Maison No. 20 because of its description of accommodations, the photographs, and the reviews. We’re so glad we stayed there! Nothing online can adequately describe Leeann’s bubbly personality, her enthusiasm for the Dordogne, and her care for the well-being of her guests. We all enjoyed the spaciousness of the bedrooms and en suites. The bed was so comfortable and the sheets were so crisp and lovely. We slept beautifully every night of the week that we were there. That was a vacation in itself. It was a delight to wake up and see what baked goods Leeann had put in the box she silently placed outside our door each morning. When we arrived, the flat was stocked with good butter, good jam, orange juice, milk, tea bags, and coffee. The coffee pot makes delicious coffee. Leeann replenished the milk and the orange juice during our stay. Sometimes she even set up the coffee pot for us! If we needed something - a hairdryer, a market basket! - we just needed to look where it might be - and there it was! Maison No. 20 has everything. Not only does it have a good tv, it has many choices of dvds to play. Not only does it have a substantial library of guide books, it has lots of novels, and glossy design magazines. One day we were leaving Maison No. 20, and Leeann mentioned she had picked cherries, and was making cherry jam, as well as clafoutis for a surprise party. Just hearing about those activities was a glimpse into life in the Dordogne. Imagine our surprise and delight when we returned to the flat, and found four beautiful miniature clafoutis on a blue-flowered China cake stand, softly dusted with confectioners sugar! This generosity of spirit, attention to detail, and eye for beauty sum up our experience of Leeann’s hospitality. Eymet is a beautiful village. It is a convenient place from which to explore all parts of the Dordogne. Do go to Eymet, and when you do, make sure to stay with Leeann!! …
