We arrived late just for an overnight stay. We booked for the pool and the free breakfast. The pool was closed and empty… the breakfast was awful coffee machine which needed a good clean out… eggs that had been sat out for hours and hard at the yolk. Bacon cold and milk/ yogart looked old. Bearing in mind I’m 6 months pregnant travelling with my 6 year old… we didn’t touch it all for fear of being sick. The hotel doesn’t look like the pics it’s been left to become run down and outdated. The rooms are dirty and nicotine stained. Light fittings hanging loose above your head. Wifi didn’t work and power went out in the middle of the night leaving the air con then to be off. Location we didn’t pay much mind to as only staying one night. But did notice in a built up area. After a long journey this is not what we wanted to see…. The place should be condemned. Reception staff were helpful. The kitchen/breakfast staff uninterested and rude. Stay away!…
Myself and my wife stayed for 9 nights. The room was clean...and serviced daily. the breakfast was always good and enough choice. The hotel is not a 5 star hotel and the prices they charge are not expectant of this. After reading a few bad points on other reviews (traffic noise etc.) These things are apparent...but not to our discomfort. The location of the hotel is truly amazing if you like to do other things other than just stay in corfu town. The walk to town is about 40 minutes (which we did every day) but there are restaurants and shops all along that dont charge city center prices. If we go back to Cofu we will definitely stay here again. The pool is also a great place to relax...maybe have a drink or 2...
We stayed at the Sunset for 2 nights at the start of our week long tour of the island. Great location just outside Corfu Town with the number 7 service stopping at the door. Very clean and good value for money in my opinion, we also enjoyed the buffet breakfast. If you are on a budget and looking for a base to explore Corfu town, you could do a lot worse than the Sunset.
We stayed here for one week and it was a good choice. The hotel is situated on the main road and there is a bus stop right in front of it. The room was not very big but had a nice balcony. The best thing was the AC as it was very hot outside while we were there. The breakfast is good as well, with multiple choices. But the best thing was the staff - very helpful and friendly. The pool was the biggest surprise, so nice and clean.
We chose to stay here for our trip into town..we had a quad and found it very easy as on main road.. it was a lovely room and very quiet..i would definitely recommend this hotel for town trip...but far to walk but idea if u drive
I had the pleasure of staying at the Sunset Hotel for the past week. The hotel itself is very nice. The room I stayed in had everything I needed, especially the AC was a godsend in the week I was there. The dining hall is spacious with a welcome section on the outside as well. The pool is pretty big with plenty of seating around it. It even has a small kiddy section just off the side of it. Across from the pool there is also the bar which had solid options for food and drinks. The indoor bar was closed at the time, but the owner told me that it should open up again around the fall/winter time. Breakfast was overall good, though a bit awkward due to the whole Covid situation. Nothing was really missing from what you would want for breakfast and I had a solid meal every day. The staff was helpful and friendly. When asked they had plenty of suggestions as to what to do around the island and they even helped get me on a boat tour to Greece's mainland. The hotel is situated just outside Corfu's old city centre, making it quite easy to get to the city centre and back. There is bus stop just outside the hotel, so you can easily plan a daytrip to Paleokastritsa. If like me, you are travelling alone or with a small group of adults, I'd suggest renting a bike or a scooter. It really makes it easy to get around the town and parking won't be much of a hassle. The hotel had an overall family friendly feel about it and is quite quiet at night due to its location, which will definitely not be the case inside the city centre. It has everything you would want from a hotel and I would not hesitate to go back there when visiting Corfu again.…
stayed for one night A/C was not working properly at all. Breakfast was average not very bad & not really good. price was a little bit high but yet acceptable for his good location near to the city centre
Staying at the Sunset Hotel was a treat with a beautiful cool pool to relax and refresh yourself in after a warm day in Corfu. Attentive staff who were polite and helpful and a nourishing breakfast was available. Cool rooms with ocean views were a treat to sleep in.
We are having great time at this relaxed and friendly hotel, great pool, lovely bar, super breakfast. The staff are so helpful and friendly its almost like staying with friends or family. We would definitely give this place 5*s.
I stayed 2 weeks, had a lovely chilled time with a all staff being very friendly and helpful. The location is brilliant close to Corfu Town, also close to some amazing beaches. The hotel provides a beautiful pool with a bar , very quiet and peaceful at all times
