It's a five minute walk from the train station. It's another 15/20minute walk to Lenin's big head and then another 10/15 minutes to the center(at least it seems like the center.) You get your own key, just one. Room is great. It's a mini apartment really that you will end up sharing with strangers but you get your own room.... More

Traveled there in during low season and liked it. Ulan Ude was interesting city but I had 2 days only because nothing to do and it is always better to take a bus from there to Ulaanbaatar,Mongolia if you are heading to. It`s time saving.

The hostel is a couple of minutes from the train station and 10 minutes from the centre (on foot). It has numerous properties nearby - we stayed in a three-person private a couple of minutes from the main hostel which offered a huge kitchen and two bathooms for three rooms of guests! It was warm but there was a fan... More

We arrived in the Hostel House around 4am. Got into the reception and were took by a man to the other side of the street, to an apartment that belongs to the hostel. He explained nothing to us. Not about the kitchen, nor the bathroom, how we could reach the reception, nothing. We manage to discover everything by ourselves. On... More

Stayed in the apartments for 3 nights. Well it wasn't 'apartment' proper, Western standard. More like low cost flats. Asked the staff several questions concerning the city and they couldn't reply. They do not even have maps to give to me, asking me to download an app instead. Asked them a few questions concerning the trains and their remarks is... More

I stayed with H Hostel for a couple of nights at 1700 roubles per day without prior reservation in an apartment just across the street from the hostel (which is three floors up, by the way, if you have trouble with stairs) and it was ok. The apartment is on the ground floor in a Soviet-era block and was very... More

So the only advantage of this place was that it was close to the station. Now onto the negatives. The double room we had was a triangular room with the fluorescent lighting you get in office blocks. Wall to wall windows were on 2 sides and stupidly there were no curtains or blinds. There were 4 radiators in the room,... More

This hotel is really close to the train station. The main building's rooms were probably full so we were taken to a secondary building across the room. We spent the night there with a whole apartment to ourselves - with bathroom, shower, fridge, kitchen utensiles and even a living room. The girl who checked us in could speak good english.... More

The girl at reception spoke very little English. She didn't let me pay with credit card although that was possible. I had booked a single room, which happened to be in an apartment in another building not far away. The guy who took me there didn't speak any English and didn't show me the apartment or anything. So until he... More
