Booked by my host , it was centrally located but a bit old looking property. It has halls where we had our awareness program. It also provides flooding facility. Parking is an issue as it is in the main road and in the central location. One can search a parking outside. Overall a good one.
Centrally located and a warm and homely atmosphere. We were well taken care of. Hotel staff were respectful and courteous. Though we did not have our meals there this time but I sure remember having eaten sizzlers at Chopstick, their restaurant, quite a few times in the past and it was awesome. The building is like a heritage building and sure is a sort for one. Would also like to mention the wonderful snacky items one gets on the outside of the building in BRUBECK. Great items to drool on.
Hotel is located in a very prominent area, on main road in Bistupur area. Marketplace is just in a walk away distance. You will get a old charm in the hotel as the building is pretty old, dated back in 1940. Rooms are pretty big. However I feel interior and light could have been little better to make it more attractive. Best part of the hotel is its staff and food. Food is really tasty. We tried posto chicken, musturd fish which were very tasty. Hotel staffs are very helpful and courteous.
The property is situated at the Bistupur market area, though the fag end of it, not as central as maybe the Nataraj Hotel. It is a really old property and it shows, it is in serious need for some maintenance and renovation. The rooms have a stale/humid smell, washrooms are dated and not very clean pots..The bed mattresses are very thin and to our surprise, they only have single beds, at least that is what the receptionist told us! There is a dumpyard right next to the property which also is a breeding ground for mosquitoes..even after switching on ALL OUT , there were mosquitoes all night long! Advise to property owners - you have a heritage property in your hands, please preserve it and upgrade it to the minimum 3 star standards at least
Always visit a Hotel which has history. As I am born & brought up in Jamshedpur, this hotel was a first choice. It has lot of History attached to it & overall a decent stay. This landmark is dated way back to 1940's. Restaurant Chopstick should also be tried out. Do try out once.
