This is the ideal stopover before you tackle the WHW - 5 mins from the start and the owners are very welcoming and obliging. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable and the smoked salmon breakfast was delish. The packed lunch is huge and we needed it ! Good value, would recommend.

This was the last B&B we stayed at in Scotland, and was probably our favorite. The vibe was a lot more relaxed here than some of the typical formal B&Bs you find around the UK. That's probably due to the large number of hikers they have staying here to hike the West Highland Way. We weren't hiking, but appreciated the...

We had a lovely stay in BFF B&B in Juli 2014. The train station Milngavie is "right around the corner" (less than 10 min. walk) and if you are starting the WHW the next day you might also like the tesco right behind the train station to fill up your bags with food (easy to reach within 10 minutes, as...

We were greeted by an unpleasant odour and a friendly man. Our rooms were basic and not well finished, untidy paint, dirty floor. Dark sheets with hair and bits? Ugh. Breakfast - who serves squash as orange juice? That just set the tone, a disappointing place to start out West Highland Walk from

The host Morag is very warm and welcoming, the room and facilities (ensuite room for 4) were well-decorated and well-equipped. Had cookies and complimentary hot drinks in our rooms for us when we arrived, totally made our day! Breakfast was awesome, definitely a great place to start the West Highland Way.

We were beginning our walk of the West Highland Way and found Best Foot Forward through blogs and the official website for the WHW. It was quite convenient to the train station and the start of the walk in Milngavie. Rooms are well equipped with nice opening skylights. Breakfast was better than average with a choice of Full Scottish or...

Best Foot Forward is an average economy B & B. It served our purposes adequately as an overnight stay prior to starting point the West Highland Way (WHW) trek. It is walking distance from the Milngavie Train Station but is quite an uphill slog with luggage for the last 200 meters. Adequate Free WiFi provided and the breakfast was the...

Stayed for one night before starting our walk on The West Highland Way. Made to feel very welcome by the owner who took time to explain everything including suitable places to eat in the village. Our room was very large and comfortable with everything you needed. Excellent breakfast with the nice touch of your national flag on the table. Convenient...

A very friendly, welcoming B&B with some excellent recommendations for meals in local restaurants. The bedroom and bathroom were very large, though the decor is looking a little dated and a handle was 'hanging' from its wardrobe door. We had a nice, big king bed but I have to be brutally honest here and say that I was not convinced...

We stayed here for two nights before beginning our West Highland Way adventure. We felt welcome from the first moment we arrived! Our room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was wonderful. The owners were helpful with everything from restaurant reservations/recommendations to help with all of our questions. Very nice stay!
