A modern, very clean hotel (adults only) with friendly staff and a prime location right on the well-kept beach promenade. The hotel was last majorly modernized in 2015. The reception area includes a hall with modern seating. There are 180 rooms in different categories, from single/double rooms, premium rooms with side sea views, rooms with sea views and four suites with sea views - for 350 guests in total. The five-story Grupotel Acapulco Playa is in a prime location right on the well-kept beach promenade. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel there are restaurants, shops, pharmacies, bicycle and car rental companies and a bus stop from which bus line 25 reaches the city center of Palma in a good 20 minutes, e.g. to Placa d'Espanya with the train station and the Ferrocarril de Soller museum railway. The double room 447 is quietly located on the land side. It has a balcony, double bed (two beds) with good mattresses, large TV, kettle, bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The entire hotel staff was very attentive, friendly and helpful. The service at breakfast and dinner as well as in the evening at the bar was exemplary. The food on offer in the morning and evening - each as a buffet - left nothing to be desired. Very varied and tasty, with a large selection. The modern restaurant impressed with international and local dishes. The Spanish gala, the Asian buffet and the Mallorcan buffet are particularly noteworthy. At lunchtime, the main bar - with a terrace directly on the well-kept and clean beach promenade - offers a small lunch menu. The hotel has an outdoor pool (27x17 m) and a small wellness area consisting of a sauna, a steam bath, whirlpool (jacuzzi) and a swimming pool (10x4 m). In the bar area there was a varied entertainment program with musicians, singers and DJs six evenings a week - the singer Teresa Morey was particularly popular.

I have had one week here in Grupotel Acapulco Playa. The hotel is really good value for money. I can truly revomend the rooms that have partially sea view - they come at a reasonable price. Dueing my stay I had half board which was good, and the menu changed every day, that is for dinner.
In covid 19 times it is not easy to give your opinion on hotels, due to the fact that hotels and staff have new tasks, but this hotel have held the situation in good spirit and dealt with this in an orderly manner .

One of the best holiday hotels I have been to. Great location right next to the promenade and beach, and at the same time close to public transport stops from which you can quickly get to Palma. The hotel itself is quiet and peaceful, without noisy parties and animations. During the day, relaxing music plays quietly in the lobby and bar, and in the evening there are cool musical performances in the bar. Incredibly nice and helpful staff. Delicious food, mainly local products purchased from local producers, not from supermarkets. A very large variety of dishes, everyone will find something for themselves. Everything is cooked and baked fresh. I recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.

After a thorough and exhaustive search for hotels in Mallorca, we decided to book at Grupotel Acapulco Playa. It was the best choice! The hotel is located right in front of the beach, the rooms are very clean and modern. From the airport we took the A2 bus, which costs only 5 euros/way per person and takes around 20-30 minutes to arrive right next to the hotel. We had a Junior Suite room with two balconies, one with a view of the sea and two sunbeds, the other with a view of the pool. The only two small disadvantages were the bed which, although it was comfortable, we would have liked it to be a large double bed, not two single beds, and the water in the shower which was a little difficult to adjust to the average temperature. But that doesn't stop me from giving it a 10. The breakfast was delicious and varied. Very friendly staff! We will definitely come back here!

We were only here for 4 days but it was lovely the staff are great breakfast was fresh and good quality, bar drinks and snack prices were great (July 2021) It was adults only, great room sizes, no pool music, calm and ideal to relax. the hotel is more in keeping with a Spanish style, dark woods and marble everywhere but as good as the ones that look very modern and twice the price! the resort consists of a row of hotels with a few bars and restaurants nearby, not a lot to explore , but a beautiful beach area that was busy during our stay. We also seamed to hit the German summer break and there were a lot of teenagers further down the bay from us, sbut easily avoided.

Just back from this hotel. This hotel was full of Germans, we were the only English speaking couple there so everything was geared towards the Germans. There was no evening entertainment here at this hotel and all the bars on the seafront were full of rowdy football supporters. The food was not wonderful and the meat most evenings was not tender. There were not many sun beds and these were mostly all taken by 8 am although there was no one lying there. I reported this to the man at reception who was not interested and just shrugged his shoulders. I won’t be staying at this hotel again.

It is true that most of oru guests are German, but we also have French, Spanish, Swiss, Portuguese... guests as well as some English speaking as you. We are very sorry that this was an impediment for you to have a nice holiday. For our part, we love all our guests regardless of their nationality, and there is always a nice coexistence in our beautiful hotel. As you say, we do not have daytime or nighttime entertainment, but we do have live music on the terrace of our bar on the beach promenade. This is a beautiful hotel which I discovered dates back to the 50's, and the subtle nod to this in the decor makes it even more delightful. A spacious reception lobby leads off to the lovely staircase leading to the rooms which are really nice and if you get one overlooking the sea or the pool then you have access to an outside decked area where you can relax on sunbeds or your own balconies. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly and the maids work so very hard to keep the rooms fresh and clean every day. The pool area is such a peaceful place to be with the excellent pool bar there to provide the odd cocktail or two :-) The breakfast could not be faulted in any way and altho we didn't eat an evening meal, im sure that it would be to the same standard as everything else. The position of the hotel is perfect, being right across from the large and spacious beach. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and I hope to return again soon.

The adult-only hotel scores points with its great beach location and it is quiet, but not far from the hustle and bustle of Ballermann. We had a rather small room, one with a direct sea view and one with a huge terrace, both with a great view. The atmosphere and the live music in the white hotel bar right on the promenade convinced us to have a drink there every evening. Breakfast offered a large selection and was very good, dinner was OK for a few days. We probably wouldn't take half board anymore. The small, nice pool bar, however, offers a delicious selection for those hungry at midday. There are always enough loungers on the beach, the sea is really beautiful. The hotel has many regular guests and we would also be happy to come back for a break.

We stayed at the Grupotel Acapulco for the third time and would book it again. Our room was on the 5th floor and the view was very nice.
There are a few things to complain about.
The chambermaid was always relatively late cleaning (2 p.m.). At the end the bathroom door squeaked very loudly, which she should have noticed. Then the "Do not disturb" sign ("No") was no longer there. Only when we "made" one ourselves did we get a new one.
In the evening in the restaurant I was once served a glass of wine that was not full (I had qualms about drinking it because it looked used) (before that the glass was always filled at the table)
There were enough loungers by the pool. Reservations were also kept to a minimum.
The location is ideal.
It is easy to get to Palma by bike or scooter. And you can walk to Megapark etc. The bus connections to Palma or the airport are also very good and cheap. (2 or 5 €) We also recommend "Die Krone". The food there is very good and the sangria is delicious. The waiters always have a funny joke ready.

I am so happy we found this place as there are a lot of bad hotels in Arenal/Playa de Palma. The reception and welcome I received was outstanding and everyone was so very kind. All the staff we interacted with were exceptionally pleasant and kind. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection of fresh and well presented dishes.
The location at Balneario 9 is excellent as the area is devoid of the crazy party people and the beach is absolutely fantastic. There are many nice restaurants in the immediate vicinity as well as the airport bus. And for all these reasons I will stay again on weekend breaks.
We were positively surprised given the reputation of the whole area for booze tourism and so on. We did not perceive such issues in the area and would highly recommend the location and the hotel.

one of the small fridges, hairdryer for sure but do not remember about iron or tea/coffee...may be there but the hotel is used for meetings and seminars and I believe the reception would provide you with one upon request
