Detailed Reviews
We weren’t expecting silver service and 4 poster beds from this 3 star hotel, but what we did get we enjoyed.
The hotel is spread out over a sloping complex, offering several areas to lounge and swim. I think that depending on occupancy levels, alternative dining venues are made available. We went all inclusive and were so happy we did as the food was very good. Great choices and constantly replenished.
Our only niggle was the location of our room, which was situated on the top floor above reception. Access to reception is from the top of a cul-de-sac, which relatively free from vehicular and pedestrian traffic, making it quite quiet. Unfortunately, in the early hours of the morning, guests arriving and leaving can be noisy and consequently disturbing. We chose not to request a different room as it may have been a case of “out of the frying pan and into the fire”.
The other problem we had was that the resort, and hotel occupants, we’re almost all German with a few Dutch thrown in. Fortunately, we were quite happy to just lounge around the pool and soak up the sun for our 10 day break.

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you for this positive review of your experience in our hotel. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the spacious pool areas and the quality of our all-inclusive food offerings. Our team works hard to provide a wide variety of choices and maintain a high level of service for our guests. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the location of your room and the noise from other guests. Our hotel complex is quite large, and we understand that some rooms may be closer to reception or busier areas. In the future, please feel free to request a room change, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences. We also appreciate your understanding regarding the majority of our guests being from Germany and the Netherlands. We strive to create a welcoming environment for all nationalities and hope that it did not affect your overall experience. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for another enjoyable stay in the future. Best regards, MLL Palma Bay Resort

I was quite skeptic about the reviews id seen online, but for only £250 all inclusive for 3 nights I gave it a go. We arrived at around 1am due to a delayed flight, when we checked in we paid a tourist fee of £12( for 2 guests 3 nights). This was expected and fine. However the man at reception said we were in the other building (the hotel itself consisted of around 4/5 different actual buildings). And it was down the road. We’d got to our designated building and quite disappointed… the movie hostel comes to mind. It seemed all the other buildings were very clean looking on the outside and had front facing balconies and light up signs. Ours was very dreary no lights and paintwork that appears older than me. We soon came to realise we’d been shot in the crappy building potentially due to our age as we only saw younger people in said building. The lift was out of order the whole duration of our holiday so 3 flights of stairs was our transport. The room…. Very basic but not bad. Stains on the bedding and could do with a sweep more often but not too bad at all. The view from our balcony was rather upsetting as we had some rusty stairs and rundown building to look at every morning. Despite this we tried to enjoy. On day 1 we realised All inclusive wasn’t as it used to be, you are permitted 2 alcoholic drinks each with lunch and dinner. Any alcohol inbetween then will cost you €5.50. The food was, average. Always fresh fruit and bread available but the main dishes were limited to two to chose from. If you are rather fussy like my friend, you can always live off rice and pasta like she did! The pools don’t really appear like the photos at all, we searched the entire complex and couldn’t find the pool in the original photo of the hotel. Also at meal times you must be wearing normal clothing, no swimwear or beach wear. The snack bar however kept us full with either burgers, hotdogs or salad from 11am until 11pm.
I hope this helps :)

Some of these reviews like the previous one are so extreme, me and my boyfriend stayed for 3 nights last week and a cheap last minute holiday. It was exactly what you paid for. We did first get put in the dreaded Rio building that most these negative comments are about and both of us said it rly wasn’t awful not what you’d like but it is what you pay for it’s a comfortable bed and clean room for the night. But admittedly the shower was either boiling or freezing so we asked to swap room which they did for free to habana building which changed the holiday. Perfect, clean rooms, lovely bathroom and balcony. The building even had its own pool and the all inclusive in habana was great. Different foods every night from beef ragu, paella to pizzas. There was multiple pools to chose from which were all clean and the one in habana I saw getting cleaned in the mornings and hoovered of all leaves etc so I don’t understand where the recent comment on the pools came from because it is defo rly not true just clearly not happy with their experience so slating the place. I’d agree they need more staff at reception as there were frequent queues but over lovely people. Cheap joyful holiday with an amazing location and stunning beach with a clear sea.

Palma Bay Club Resort is a complex of hotels/swimming pools/restaurants/bars and nightclubs that offer some diversity.
I stayed in the Havana building on an IT basis for two rooms. Check in without any problems despite having taken place around one in the morning. Having read some less favorable reviews, I confess that I was a little apprehensive. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms, in terms of area, are what you would expect from a 3-star hotel, with comfortable space and a balcony. They do not have a refrigerator, which would be very useful, given the temperatures. The bathroom is relatively modern and although it is a little small, it is functional and surprises with a spacious and very pleasant shower. One of the rooms I used had a broken bathroom door handle (who knows how) but after informing reception, it was promptly resolved. Cleaning was carried out every day and I must say that there was a pleasant smell in the rooms. Towels were changed at least once that I noticed. The food is varied and appropriate for a 3-star hotel (I must say that compared to some hotels in the same category, where I have stayed, it is actually very good). Please note that IT only includes 3 alcoholic drinks per person/meal and is carefully controlled. (from what I understand it is a mandatory rule from the Spanish government for that area). Outside of meals, alcoholic drinks are chargeable. I never had to wait for any of the meals, even when there was a lot of people. The dining room staff is quite efficient in this regard. The nights are filled with entertainment and it is possible to enjoy the common facilities of the other buildings. I didn't get to try the pools, but the days I spent at the hotel there wasn't much fuss and it seemed like it was easy to get a sun lounger. For those renting a car, it is not easy to find free parking in the area, but behind the Acapulco building there is an urbanization with plenty of spaces available and it is not far away. From 11pm the bars and entertainment close, so you can rest very well without any noise. The common areas are pleasant and clean. I highlight the fact that there is information in Portuguese and the staff makes an effort to understand the language. A less positive point is the location, which although it is relatively close to the beach, is in an area of the city that seemed more deteriorated to me. However, the price/quality ratio is very good, my experience at the hotel was also good, so I can only recommend its use. It came back easily.

One of the worst hotels I have been to, an old hotel, it is not updated, it is unfortunate that, in these times, there is not a small refrigerator in the room, we have to leave medicines that need to be cold, and we are forced to leave them at the reception, well, or a simple bottle of water to drink it fresh, and that the hotel does not sell you as an offer a 1-liter bottle for 3 euros, which if they do not have a refrigerator it will not last at all in the middle of the month of August.
There is no good cleaning service for the rooms, I do not mean by this that the people who do the cleaning do not do their job well, but that there are days when they do not clean the rooms, I suppose there is a lack of staff, but That is not my problem and I have not paid for the stay so as not to have decent service, I have had to go three times at 3:00 p.m. to ask why the room was not made up, and when you were resting they showed up at 4:00 p.m.: 00 knocking on the door to make the room, of course they did not make it, at most they leave you the towels, on one occasion when we returned from an excursion at 7:00 p.m. the room was still not made.
The dining room, needless to say: the worst food I have ever tried, always the same, it is prepared for foreigners who eat only pasta, pasta for lunch and pasta for dinner, yes, some days there was also meat, but with a pint that the food they put on the pigs had a better view, thank goodness they also served potatoes, which along with the mayonnaise and aioli you could eat, some days you ate potatoes with aioli, and another day aioli with potatoes, because something had to be eaten , since the paellas were soggy and were served soft with pasta, and the meats were dry, as were the pizzas.
Reception staff and cleaners, friendly, not like some of the dining room waiters who you couldn't ask anything, because they are unpleasant, and arrogant, dining room staff not very attentive at the meal to replace missing food, queues formed waiting for it to be replace some plate.
The drink, the very bad wine, and the tap water that tasted like chlorine, if you wanted another type of drink like Coca Cola, you had to pay, although it was not worth it, the mixture of flavored powders and the carbonated water is very bad.
This is not just my opinion, many more people told you the same thing, something has changed, or needs to change to provide a better service.

After reading the recent reviews we were a little worried about our trip here due to them being so bad … most are due to all inclusive rules.
The reviews on here I feel are very harsh, we had a fantastic stay. Just do your research on the all inclusive rules and then you won’t have a surprise when you get there.
Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, plenty of pool areas and sun loungers.
Rooms are small and dated but that didn’t bother us at all, beds were very comfy. Walls are thin so you can hear doors when they open and close.
Food there was plenty of choice, dining area was very quickly cleaned and tables re played for next use.
Alcohol served with lunch and dinner, and recorded against your room number which was fine as after you had eaten we wasn’t too bothered about a drink.
Pool bars great selection of soft drinks, served promptly. Pay €1 for cup which gets returned and you get your €1 back. Alcoholic drinks are very reasonably priced much cheaper than drinking in town. €2 for the glass but again you get that back when you return it.
Beach is 10 minute walk at max. Stunning beach too.
All in all had a great holiday and would happily return again.

I cannot recommend this resort to anyone, reception speaks poor English, you are not allocated rooms for which you booked and much worse rooms than you paid for, cleaning and towel service is very poor out of ten days, no clean towels for 6 days, while the used ones are. being away. The room was also not cleaned in the last three days and the sheets were not replaced.
The food is fine and the entertainment is reasonable

As a family of four arriving at this resort we were pleasantly surprised by how quick the checking in process was. We had asked for two rooms a double and a twin room near to each other and were happy that we were put in the Acapulco building on the first floor. The rooms were basic but very clean, towels supplied in an adequate bathroom, what I would expect from a 3 star establishment. Both rooms had crisp clean sheets, showers were good as were the hairdryers. To enter your room you are issued two keycards which was ideal. The air conditioning in both rooms worked fine even when the temperatures hit 33C.The complex has four swimming pools all of reasonable sizes, we found them all to be clean and well supervised by onsite lifeguards. Their were ample sunbeds but would advise getting to the pool for 10am if you wish to get one or more before the rush. We were all inclusive for meals and found the food to be very good, my only criticism is if you are vegetarian you may struggle with the options available. We had no issues with the alcohol allowance which is 3 alcoholic drinks with both lunch and evening meal. The onsite snack bar was excellent offering burgers, hotdogs, fish nuggets, chips, salad, biscuits, cakes and ice cream also unlimited tea, coffee and soft drinks. The pool bar has both a pizzeria and barbecue at certain times of the day of which both were an asset to our stay. The staff at this resort do an amazing job whether it be on reception, cleaning the rooms daily, or being part of the catering team and the bars. For us as a family this resort was worth the money we paid but we would only return to this establishment if it was not in Arenal. For us being amongst so many
drunken youngsters mainly German we felt like we were in Germany rather than Majorca. If you have no plans of leaving the resort during your stay then definitely consider this resort as a place to stay.

There is nothing good to say about this stay, the staff barely speaks English and rolls their eyes when you ask. book a room for 3 and get a room 6 high where the elevator is broken and where a pregnant woman is stuck and no one helps her. After climbing the stairs 6 high with suitcases, I arrived in a room where there were semen stains and hair on the bed, and cookie crumbs were also on the floor. then climbed down again from the 6th floor with my suitcases to indicate that this was not okay, with a lot of fuss I was able to get another room which I was absolutely not happy with, ants everywhere and the shower head was broken, which had to be done. hold you while you shower. not so nice if you are there for 2 weeks. The food is the same, no matter what you eat, even if you only eat rice and vegetables, you can immediately run to the toilet, it stinks and the plates still have leftovers from the previous happy person who ate there. cleaning is also dramatic, and don't expect a clean towel every day because you won't get one, in a 3-person room you only get 2 towels so you will have to share. In short, book somewhere else if you don't want to experience a hell of a holiday

I was initially scared because of some negative reviews I read about the hotel, as well as regarding attention to special requests made in advance. I sent several emails to the hotel requesting some adjustments, as we traveled with our child who wears wheelchair. I asked to stay on the ground floor in an accessible room and also to have nearby rooms so that our daughters didn't stay far from our room. I was negatively surprised on the first night because we were assigned rooms on the third floor and with doors less than 90cm, that is, our son's chair did not enter the room. However, after my complaint and request for help and understanding regarding our “special” situation with the Hotel Director, we were quickly accommodated on the floor floor, with adapted bathroom and with the possibility of installing a bed suitable for our child in the same room, when the usual is a sofa. Just as we were assigned nearby rooms. I emphasize the cordiality and kindness of the Hotel Director, not only to us, but to everyone, including his staff. From the first day, we noticed a special care for the conditions of our son. We were always reserved the same table for meals, because it is accessible. The staff were always kindly available for all needs, namely to properly process the special feeding of our child. We even realized that the information regarding some special care passed between the employees, to the point that it was not necessary to request anything, since despite the rotation of the same, all were readily available to ensure the usual needs. Every day, the hotel manager expressed interest in whether we were okay or needed something. There was not a single day that I hadn't had that concern.
Regarding the facilities of the Hotel, they are not new facilities, but are in remarkable improvements. Regarding cleaning, nothing to point out. Every day the cleaning was done as well as the change of sheets and towels. The buffet service is excellent, only sick by the repetition and lack of variety of menta. The quick response and attention given to our needs exceeded my expectations. The rest of the stay was excellent, with the staff always helpful and attentive. I recommend this hotel especially for those who need affordable accommodation, because although it is not a hotel with certified accessibility, they have demonstrated a true commitment to guest satisfaction.
I'm very pleased. I thank the whole team for the sympathy, readiness and availability.

I don’t believe it does. The food is very basic. Salad and meat and not much else to choose from unless it’s bread or something with wheat in… but I can’t guarantee this.

Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom67 contributions36 helpful votesCan anyone explain the alcohol situation when paying all inclusive? Is it available all day at no cost? We are a group of three adults.
I was there last month, all inclusive.
Drinks: Soft drinks available all day as much as you want until 11pm
Alcoholic drinks for the all inclusive guest are extremely limited
You are allowed 3 alcoholic drinks with your lunch and 3 with your evening meal.
These are either wine or lager. No other choice.
The lager is served to you in wine glasses… ensuring you are unable to become inebriated.
If you want any further alcohol, you must pay.
Apparently this is the law and affects all hotels in Arenal , Malaga and San Antonio.
