You can't fault this hotel for location as it's within a 5 minute walk to the centre of town and the riverbank. It is very dated though. It's a typical French provincial hotel which was exactly what we were looking for but the access to our rooms were up the steepest stairs that we have encountered so totally unsuitable for anyone with walking difficulties. The room was comfortable enough and breakfast was the usual French fayre of coffee, cheese, bread and jam. The staff were helpful and friendly. Car parking is on the street which you have to pay for or there is a free car park about half a kilometer from the hotel which we used. It's a good base to explore the Ardennes.
Does not earn the second star. Breakfast was poor. No plates for breakfast, no elevator and small steps, ultra thin walls, you can hear everything. Smell from the closset. The only plus in this matter was location.
The hotel has a great building and the cafe invites you to linger and enjoy a sunny afternoon. The rooms and interior, tho, are totally dated and in need of a renovation. Value for money was ok, service was ok, too.
Not a bad place - pretty, nice welcome and good location with a large corner room - but the memory foam mattress was uncomfortable and no bathroom (no matter how old the fittings) should have carpet tiles on the floor. Don't get me wrong, cleanliness wasn't an issue but it needs a make over and lose the carpet round the toilet! Only other thing to be wary of is parking - it's very public, as in its road parking only. We'd expected a public car park but luckily got parked ok.
The hotel has a good location and a cosy atmosphere, but needs renovation. The room we got was so little we bearly could pas the bed on our way to the batroom. But what really was not good, was the odor. We tried to open the window, but it became worse. If the hotel manage to get rid of this unpleasant fault, it could be recommended, not before...
