This is a wonderfully renovated little property right in the centre of town that caters to those looking for a unique accommodation experience. Hidden away behind a very nondescript facade, a series of very steep stairs takes you up to small but comfortable and well appointed rooms. The climb is steep but worth it!
My stay in Côte Chambers was excellent. Christophe is a warm and wonderful host, and the B&B is absolutely gorgeous. It is located in an historic building, right in the middle of the town, just steps from the vibrant town square. The room was quite large, clean, and had every amenity I would hope for (coffee, couch, TV). I was served breakfast on an open air terrace, which was divine! (the food and the terrace!) The bed was very comfortable, and I the shower was great too. Christophe speaks English very well, which helped me a great deal. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming to the area! Merci, Christophe!
We stay at Côté Chambres every year for the festival Cabaret vert. This year will be our fourth time! The hotel is a small, quite hotel, very well placed, next to the "place ducale"! Everything looks decorated with love. Breakfast is in the room or on the rooftop if the weather allowes it! As we are a group of 6 or 7 people the owner even prepared us breakfast in her living room, so we wouldn't have to eat seperatly in our rooms when it rained! Our room had a coffee machine and a fridge. It is certainly not a luxurious hotel, but who needs luxury if you can stay at a cosy hotel where you feel at home! The restaurant next to the hotel is superbe by the way! We can't wait to come back this year! :)
Difficult to agree an arrival time, difficult to park nearby, welcomed by young girl doing the job for the first time. No help offered with cases up narrow stairs. Room modest with curtain separating bathroom. Wi-Fi didn't work (until you realise it from the restaurant next door.) Peculiarly they wouldn't take credit card for payment for the room. Breakfast taken in the restaurant next door
We stayed here for 2 nights. The B&B is central. Sensation room is specious and tastefully decorated. We even had Espresso machine in the room. Breakfast was served in the room. It was of great quality. Geraldine, the owner, was a charming host with good English. WiFi was free. Stairs are leading to the room (no elevator). Parking available in the streets nearby for a fee. Centrally located. The restaurant joined to the B&B and owned by the Melins' is run by the chef, Christophe Melin. What an experience! A must try while you are there. Guests of the B&B receive 10% discount. Warmly recommended!
Very pleased we decided to stay in Cote Chambres with friends. The owner was charming and so helpful. We had a lovely breakfast in the family kitchen. The bedrooms were very comfortable and nicely furnished. We had dinner next door in La Clef des Champs which is also owned by the family - this was really excellent with very good service and the restaurant had a good atmosphere and was busy. Could not have asked for better. Would definitely recommend the accommodation and restaurant to anyone who is staying in Charleville Meziers.
