After an hour on a terrible road reached the "lodge". Looks more than a B&B to me but that's just my opinion. Wondered why they offered free DVD's for in your room when checking but now i know. Due to road going places by car is not inviting and apart from walking through the grass there's not much you can...

The lodge & its staff are most disappointed that you were unhappy on our mountain. However we cannot understand why you came to the “country side” knowing how much you dislike being there. We always welcome constructive criticism to improve our guests’ experience . Unfortunately there is nothing constructive in your comments. Kind regards Leah Mccullough

Beautiful Views from property. Road there quite challenging. No belts on gowns provided. had to ask for fresh soap as the soap on arrival was a used bar. Food really good and very well prepared. Peter the Chef , Blessing and Leah are great assets to the Lodge. All staff very friendly and a relaxed atmosphere abounds.

The weekend was great in all aspects! We had a beautiful room with an excellent view over the dam. The staff was friendly - the service was very good and well organised and even the food was very tasty and well prepared. Good value for money!

Top notch destination for tranquil couples escape. We spent 4 nights of our honeymoon at Wild Horses and really enjoyed our time there. Wild Horses was a treat! We were celebrating our anniversary and tried the lodge for the first time. Right on the Sterkfontein Dam, it is intimate and remote. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and had amazing views. The beers were as refreshing as a dive in the dam. The standout thing though was the food. I don't know...

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. All the staff make you feel at home. They really are excellent hosts. The place is beautiful, the views amazing and our room was most comfortable. The food was excellent too. We wanted to spoil our 15th year anniversary and Wildhorses did just that!

We had a great weekend here...the view of the dam is spectacular, surrounded by rolling grassland and wild horses. The service is excellent, personal and sincere - epitomised by Blessing who is a delight and always has something interesting to chat about. We were there for our anniversary and they went to great effort to make it special for us....
