We stayed off season there, almost empty. Only one room has hot shower, room 301, so don't book it and everyone can use it. Great service for shaolin temple and good street food arround it. Pretty cold in winter, so get a sleeping bag

Staff in this hostel are so friendly ,they were patient to answer our questions ,and tried their best to help us to know more things about Dengfeng and Shaolin Temple. The room is very clean, and hot water is very strong. We saw great sunrise on the roof of the hostel! We were so happy that we have 3 nice... More

So Trip Advisor refused to post my original post, so I'll try again... This hostel is scary as hell. It looks extremely old and used to it's limit, and is in need of a refurbishment so bad. The main lobby/communal area is small and a little grubby. The toilet situation is quite funny too. Some of the rooms have a... More

He was even nice enough to walk us to his favorite restaurant and order in Chinese for us. We had difficulties the next morning when trying to ask about busses with the non... More

I decided that Shaolin was the best place to stay.and notified Coco about a week in advance. Someone had already booked the room for the next day. Coco... More

I am probably one of the few people to come to Dengfeng and not go to Shaolin or any temples. I was just going from Kaifeng to Luoyang and noticed that there was a hostel not far out of the way. Dengfeng is a small and quiet city without many things that interested me, but this hostel was extremely comfortable... More

Our stay in DengFeng was definitely a memorable experience. Navigating DengFeng can get a little tricky and theres a lot to do but we were really lucky to have one of the hostel partners Nikki guide us throughout our stay. From the best restaurants to sightseeing, we really felt like we were at home.
