Our guide booked us a lunch at the hotel right before the show. We were late, so it was nice of them to keep the kitchen opened until we were done. However, I don't recommend this place at all. The "clean plates and glasses" all had a greasy film on them . The restaurant washroom was filthy. We were supposed...

We will never enter this Hotel! Dirty, like a Hostel, nothing to do with a 4 star Hotel. We have very bad breakfast and only tea , if we oder coffee for breakfast, we have to pay additional RMB for it. The Service is unbeliverbel bad, and they sleep just next to your table. I was shocked to see such a dirty, un kept, unhygienic place. The reception is used as a storage place with the curtains hanging off the last few hooks, cartons of water, boxes, stainless steel lunch utensils all are shoved behind the reception desk. The table in the lobby is littered with dirty cups and saucers. The carpeting leading up...

The Good-located as close to Shaolin Temple as you can get, quiet. The Bad-everything else. We were in a suite which doesn't mean it is good. The carpet was filthy and sticky, wall paper peeling off of the walls. Air conditioning didn't work in either room and with outside temperatures of >31 deg C the rooms were like boilers. Rooms...

The location of the hotel is absolutly the only positive point for this hotel. We stayed for three nights in two rooms, one with two beds and one extra large bed. The rooms were spacious, however, the floor was never cleaned. There were dead bugs on the floor by the window when we checked in and were still there after...

There is plaster falling off the walls, stains everywhere & a terrible smell. We were with a large group & had pre booked otherwise I would have left & happily stayed in the nearby town. It's government owned, has no competition nearby so they don't bother , they don't clean. they don't repair or refurbish. Staying there is a bit...

This hotel is near Shaolin Temple (about a twenty minute walk form the main site), though the Temple is very commercialised and not worth a major trekto get there. The receptionist was courteous and tried to be helpful. However , ... Bathroom was dirty, with hairs in basin and toilet (when I complained, they just wiped it over with a...

If you are really keen to peek into the unique life in Shaolin, that is your only choice. The majority of visitors of the Shaolin temple and the kungfu schools come on organised day trips from Luyoang, Dengfeng and Zhengzhou. But the real magic of Shaolin can be felt only when those hoards of people are not there. You could...

We traveled to the Shaolin Temple from Zhengzhou and stayed at this hotel one night. We had planned on two nights and two rooms. The air conditioning did not work. We were told it is only turned on when it is hot outside. It was in the 80's when we were there. Bathrooms are dirty. They will inspect your room...

Dirty, smelly and unhygienic - easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in anywhere! The room and bathroom had never been cleaned - the drains were blocked and there was blood splatters on the wall. Dust and bed mites prevailed and the smell of raw sewage in the bathroom was particularly unpleasant. We chose this hotel as it is...
