I stayed there for one night together with a Group of 20 persons visiting various Places in South Korea. The hotel was centrally located with easy access to an outdoor market. My room was nice coloured in various shades of grey and necessary toilet articles. It was quiet and almost no noise from the outside. I was loacated in 8th floor and slept well. Breakfast was in the lobby, very simple and not a breakfast to remember. Ok for business, but not a place for a family with children. Reasonable distance from Gimhae airport.
Most hotels in Korea are of a good standard based on my experience and hotel Smith is no exception. The bed, although hard, is very comfortable, the showers are great and the free coffee and water service at reception is a really nice touch. Being so close to the light rail is also a benefit. The VIP room is spacious and airy at little extra cost and so if you’re in Gimhae for more than a night, I would go for it. Finally, the hotel is in a more ‘traditional’ area which is great as there is a small market opposite and a large range of restaurants close by, giving a very Korean feel.
