For those who love nature. Away from the rush and noisy big towns. Excellent hospitality by the staff team who truly showcase the welcoming and friendly African culture. I wish my stay was longer.

This place is a farce… miles away from nowhere with no facilities… we booked 2 self catering apartments and unfortunately we could do no self catering as there are no cooking dishes. Fridge did not work the first days. The cooker was rusted and ancient. One apartment didn’t even get a fridge or a cooker. Mosquito infested and no blankets to sleep with. I could go on and on as this place being the pits. Believe there are independent owners… so we got the pits! I had to send my kids to Malindi. We got another hotel on the actual Watamu but was given empty promises and then no delivery. Rude rude owner….

We are just back after having spent a couple of amazing days at this hotel. The service was outstanding and the manager and all his staff did their level best to assist and help with anything we asked for in order to make our stay terrific. We asked for things that were not on the menu and everything was served. The kids loved the pool and I loved the massage on the beach. Some evenings the dinner was served right on the beach Like other guests have mentioned the hotel is not in Watamu center and it is a good 40 minutes drive unless you are dropped where the Google Map actually shows the hotel´s location and walk the last 3-4 minutes on a smaller path. Then you do not have to drive all the way around! The road was blocked some time ago. We loooved the place and their great hospitality. Thank you!

DONT BOOk THIS HOTEL ITS NOT WORTH IT: there was no water in the showers, no good food, took hours to get there and a very rough never ending road that can damage the car badly. Food was so bad felt like I was in a prison with the amount I paid the swimming pool was all salty and sticky worst experience of my life . They did not have shower towers for guest so u can imagine how run down the hotel its a disaster Don't make a mistake of booking this place and don't be fooled by the pictures.

Pros 1. Beautifully built hotel 2. It’s right on the beach 3. The breakfast is decent 4. The rooms are clean 5. The receptionist is a really nice person Cons 1. It’s really far inside and the road is bad 2. If you plan on going to watamu or malindi to sight see, eat, excursions, etc It will cost you an arm and a leg because of the distance (and you will need to) 3. They have no entertainment considering how isolated they are, you literally have to entertain yourself. 4. Their staff is a little clueless, and it lacks proper management 5. The food is so bad, I don’t even know how else to put it a. We ordered pilau and chicken curry and all we got was flavorless colored rice with chicken in tomato puree (and even this makes it sound decent) 6. They have nothing authentic to the coast (mahamri, biriyani, mbaazi, etc) 7. We had a couple water shortages…crazy! And we had to keep asking for extra linen as they weren’t replacing the ones they took 8. The food is really bad ‘emphasis’ 9. We had a massage on the beach that was obviously done by the wait staff and receptionist, as they do not have an actual masseuse on hand…probably the worst Ksh. 7000 spent. Conclusion The only way I would ever go back is if a well-known PROFESSIONAL hotel chain leased it out. It’s honestly a really beautiful hotel on a really nice private beach…but its completely run down and not anywhere worth its already discounted price. I never go out of my way to be mean, I just don’t want anyone else to waste their hard earned money.

It’s too far , it’s not in watamu, no variety in food at all, & to go outside to eat you take at least 20mn to go to malindi in very rough road to eat , breakfast was only eggs, croissant, which is not baked freshly, we had to order for cheese , salad, cornflakes for kids, dinner is a set menu, which you don’t have a lot to choose & not tasty

Not really a 5star hotel!! Food is horrible kitchen full of flies not talking about the rooms , no safety box just a mediocre bed and a table!! I had paid for 7 days but I ended up running away the 3rd day and went to another 3star hotel that was much far better than this one! GOING THERE IS LIKE GOING TO PRISON!! The nearest shop or place for a drink is 30 mins away through bumpy and rocky road!!

Amazing place!!! Very cozy small resort with ALL comforts at affordable rate. The rooms are extremely comfortable and clean, personnel always available for any special accomodation; if you suffer hot temperature, air conditioning is you friend. Pool and common areas are very quiet, team is delivering great services: from bar to towel, from good cuisine to massage, K-surf or fishing/snorkling on wooden boat... all you want and need. Restaurant buffet and carte changes every day with great cuisine!!! And then THE BEACH!!! Kilometers of provate beach on your doorstep!!! shadow from the palms and sunbeds available ... playing with the high-low tide to swim, snorkling, or walk to look at crab and starfish. Did I mention that the less-than 30 rooms will guarantee you top privacy and calm?

I do not know where to begin. My husband and I visited St.Thomas in early November 2015. We were there for a total of 5 nights. It was nothing short of an amazing experience. The staff are so warm and helpful. Without ever tiring. We truly felt like royalty. Jamal was amazing and not forgetting Jackson the animator, who ensures that you never face a dull moment. The hotel is more beautiful that the photos portray. The pool is quite large and the pool attendant is always on hand to ensure that your needs are met while at the poolside. The rooms are decorated in a way where Swahili and mordern design marry in perfect harmony. Thank you for making out anniversary holiday memorable. We will surely be returning. Asante Sana, Aisha&Hamza
