Nice room but none of the attention to detail you'd expect with 5 Star luxury. The poor English of the staff and our French probably didn't help! The restaurant had an amazing dining room but one night of the same menu was enough.

We booked while en route and were not quite what to expect. However, we were not disappointed. We were welcomed by Le Patron in great style. The old chateau is full of character and charm. Our room was avant garde but extremely stylish and fun. The grounds are worth exploring, especially the old ruins of an earlier chateau. The weather...

Dear Mr. Philip Porter, Thank you so much for your kind message . I was a great honour for me to welcome you upon your arrival and guide you throughout your stay and it was with pleasure to hear how enjoyable your stay was. The aperitif taken overlooking the amazing ruins of the Chateau is indeed a timeless pleasure. Should...

The chateau has a lovely setting and taking your Aperitif or breakfast on the terrace with views to the Old Castle is something special. It is in a very quiet location, but that was what we expected And loved. Our room, (16 under the roof) was superb, spacious, quiet and very clean. Great bathroom, minor issue was the water pressure...

The location of this Chateau hotel is in the country and a little drive to the Champagne region, make sure you have a good gps system. Our room was one of the rooms on the on the lower floor with the outside deck that was lovely, ours was a smaller room so if you want a deck then ask for...

Awesome ? More awful! We stopped here for 2 nights of rest and relaxation on our way from holidays. Expensive hotel purporting to be 5 stars but definitely not! Lovely chateau, situation was great. But.... Felt there was a shortage of staff. Manager checked us in and then carried our bags upstairs himself slightly bizarre for 5 stars. Spa was...

Dear Mr. Clark, Thank you for your comments on our property. I was pleased to learn that you appreciated the location and room 25 which was renovated last year and benefits from a splendid view over the ruins of the XIIth Century castle. It was a pleasure for me to welcome you and to show you to your room. It...

Rooms are not bad. but should be more lux for the price. Ours had too much furniture crammed into a narrow space, stuffy and hot as we entered, full ashtray on the terrace and outdoor furniture in disarray. Dinner was average. Very small fillet steak for the huge price and delivered cold. There were too few veg and frite to...

Great hotel located in lovely country side with its own ruine to explore. The room was comfortable if slightly on the small side. It is an old building so don;t have air con in the room, but opening the window seems to do the job just fine with the beneift of fresh air. There is a outdoor pool, but a...

We stayed here for 2 nights in August on our way to the alps. Chosen because of the location outdoor pool and it is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels group. Our room (21) was spacious, seating area with flat screen tv (French channels only). Huge bathroom with spa bath and separate shower. Room overlooks fabulous outdoor pool. The...

Fantastic hotel with a great history! Although the location might be off the beaten track it is certainly worth staying here. The  drive to the hotel is great as it suddenly appears with the ruins of an old castle next door. The superior room we had booked  seems recently refurbished and had a brilliant outside patio where we had our...

loved every second! very romantic - we took a picnic and a bottle of wine to the table overlooking the castle ruins...one of my favorite memories of the trip. The chateau staff was wonderful and we also enjoyed all the peacocks wandering the grounds...magical!
