This was our second stay at the property, but this time we travelled with a couple who brought their 8-month old baby along. The hotel and grounds continue to be beautifully maintained. The food at both dinner and breakfast was exquisite, but it was slightly disappointing that, upon arrival at 2PM, we would only able to get cold plates of...

The hotel was recommended by friends who had stayed there previously and when we first viewed the website we immediately made reservations - what an amazing place! We stayed two nights, ate in the restaurant just one night. We thought that the meal was very good and worth the price, very interestingly presented and several surprise additions. Our room on...

The Chateau de Fere was lovely. The setting cannot be beat. The countryside is lovely. Sitting on the raised terrace sipping champagne and gazing at the ruins was a highlight of our trip around France. The service was impeccable. The only downside was the restaurant. The food was surprisingly mediocre, probably the worst meal I had in France. The breakfast,...

I loved thid Chateau. I actually stayed in a house located below the grounds of the chateau. It was ran by a Franch couple although you must make the reservations through the Chateaus reception desk. I loved the breakfast brunch in the morning. Fresh eggs, fresh milk and nice cooked eggs. I visited the nearby Roman ruins by the chateau....

Our family and friends stayed here one night in October. It was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. It appeared that our party and one other couple were the only guests at the time, so we had the run of the place. The ladies at the front desk were so incredibly friendly and helpful every step of...

Our room / suite (20) was very spacious and decorated with a lot of taste. The New Years Eve dinner was extremley balanced and tasteful with an excellent choice of wines. The in house champaigne is very refined. The rooms are very well isolated and we heard no noise. The nearby ruins are magestic. Do not forget to visit the...

A fantastic stay at Cheateau De Fere with friends. Benoit the sommelier was a particular highlight of our trip. The rooms were adequately sized and have been recently rennovated. However, if you want to visit the centre of Epernay and see the champagne houses, be aware that you will need a car. A taxi ride is about €100 each way.

Located between the Champagne region and its capital the city of Reims and Paris, will provide you with the dreams of a time begone. The present shuttle that hosts the hotel is a late 18 beginning of 19th-century structure. However adjacent to it is a château structure which is the original property. The original property is in ruin, but still...

Stepping back in time....dropping into the countryside...to a chateau....with chateau ruins as a focal point and a chateau as your night's lodging! Amazing setting....and awesome room. I had stayed there maybe 15 years ago...and happened upon it by accident and was thrilled....and decided to take my friend to experience the thrill! Loved it again. Dining in a "time warp" of...

Before our holiday we were horrified to read some of the negative comments preceding our visit and were most apprehensive about our forthcoming stay. However, from the first minute of our arrival to the last second of our departure 9 days later we encountered nothing but 6* quality cosseting. We booked room 12 and contrary to the remarks written on...
