We are spending three nights here to visit the surrounding areas to experience this part France. I think this is the best in the area. The view of the ruins are stunning. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The staff is responsive and well trained and in spite of my lack of French met our needs.

We stayed 3 nights and use Fere-en-Tardenois for out hub to explore Champagne region. The hotel helped arrange personal visits per our desire to sample Champagne in the 4 major regions (Cote de Blanc, Montagne de Reims, Epernay, Valle de Marne). They also set up reservations for fine dining, everything worked out perfect for us. We enjoyed the hotel, room...

Having been and stayed Several times over the last 30 years I was disappointed on this occasion , having recommended we stay here to my friends , they expected a certain amount of luxury at €300 a night only to be disappointed . Whilst the rooms were fine , the hotel smelt like an old people's home ! Dining was...

Chateau de Fere is an incredible combination of history, elegance, great views, and first rate food. I went with old friends who have lived in Paris for many years and travel to different French locations every weekend. This is their favorite, and quickly became mine. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and wandering the grounds of the 13th century castle...

This was our second stay at the property, but this time we travelled with a couple who brought their 8-month old baby along. The hotel and grounds continue to be beautifully maintained. The food at both dinner and breakfast was exquisite, but it was slightly disappointing that, upon arrival at 2PM, we would only able to get cold plates of...

The hotel was recommended by friends who had stayed there previously and when we first viewed the website we immediately made reservations - what an amazing place! We stayed two nights, ate in the restaurant just one night. We thought that the meal was very good and worth the price, very interestingly presented and several surprise additions. Our room on...

The Chateau de Fere was lovely. The setting cannot be beat. The countryside is lovely. Sitting on the raised terrace sipping champagne and gazing at the ruins was a highlight of our trip around France. The service was impeccable. The only downside was the restaurant. The food was surprisingly mediocre, probably the worst meal I had in France. The breakfast,...

I loved thid Chateau. I actually stayed in a house located below the grounds of the chateau. It was ran by a Franch couple although you must make the reservations through the Chateaus reception desk. I loved the breakfast brunch in the morning. Fresh eggs, fresh milk and nice cooked eggs. I visited the nearby Roman ruins by the chateau....

Our family and friends stayed here one night in October. It was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. It appeared that our party and one other couple were the only guests at the time, so we had the run of the place. The ladies at the front desk were so incredibly friendly and helpful every step of...

Our room / suite (20) was very spacious and decorated with a lot of taste. The New Years Eve dinner was extremley balanced and tasteful with an excellent choice of wines. The in house champaigne is very refined. The rooms are very well isolated and we heard no noise. The nearby ruins are magestic. Do not forget to visit the...
