This was just an overnight stay while passing through Otley and visiting relatives for the night. The hotel was easy to find and the owners were friendly and welcoming. The bedrooms are small but clean and well appointed. We enjoyed a traditional Yorkshire breakfast.

We stopped here en route from Hereford via Lancashire to North Yorkshire ...we were the epitome of the weary traveller but what a lovely, friendly welcome we received ....it was around 5pm and we were served lovely food with drinks by great hosts at very reasonable prices. Would recommend it to everyone.

We called here after walking around thurcross reservoir with our children and had a lovely meal with friendly staff. I had the most delicious quiche and my husband had what he described as the best steak pie he had ever eaten. Would highly recommend and we will be re-visiting in the near future

Dropped in here on a chilly Easter Sunday to be greeted by two roaring fires and a charming landlord and landlady! Been very disappointed by The Hopper Lane on recent visits, but the current owners seem to have laid those ghosts to rest and turned it into a proper pub again. Well kept Ilkley Mary Jane on tap and a...

They even managed a gluten free Yorkshire pud for my wife - most impressive. She also got her own chocolate tort dessert whilst my apple crumble with custard was a treat. I...

Lovely food, excellent service, great ambience, good price. What's not to like!!!! There is also a super garden behind the pub where you can sit and watch sheep and lambs in the fields. All very relaxing . Definitely a place to visit.

...and great service too. A group of us went for a walk round the reservoir and went here for a lovely lunch. Varied menu, great choice of ales and all at a decent price. I'd heard this place has had its ups and downs but definitely on the up now. Recommended for sure.

It is quite a few years since we had been to Hopper Lane as you could never be sure it was open. Landlords came and went. We decided to call in for lunch with some visiting friends from down South and have a 'light' lunch. Wrong! Choosing from the 'light lunch' section of sandwiches, we were served sandwiches with lots...

Great place for hearty Sunday roast after a lovely walk round Swinsty reservoir. Very welcoming of boots, dogs and children. A good place to enjoy a Yorkshire welcome any day of the week. Good menu at reasonable prices.
