I was in Otley as a trip down memory lane and I wished to stay there for two nights. I found Dowgill House on the internet and booked a room from South Africa. The owners made it clear that this was an owner run establishment without full reception cover, so I needed to give an indication of arrival time and...

Returned again after 2 year break - we have been unable to visit several times as they had no rooms available! The phrase which sums up Dowgill House really is 'a home from home'. Well equipped and presented rooms, very comfortable beds, good food at breakfast time plus all mods such as wifi, freeview tv in a small [4 rooms]...

Had to book really early to get two rooms. We did so on the recommendation of my son who had visited this truly home from home B & B. The owing couple were very helpful, pleasant and most attentive to detail - checking understanding with all aspects of any concern. The accommodation although very much in keeping with the age...

This place is a home from home more than a b&b. The owners who live on the top floor were very friendly and were happy to help with anything. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, with proper tea/coffee and kettle. Exceptionally clean, could not fault anything. The breakfast is amazing, cooked to your liking with local produce. Parking is outside...

There was a guest lounge and a nice breakfast room and the breakfast was very good. Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable it was at the front of the hotel but it wasn't noisy....

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting family close by. We had room 2 which overlooks the main road which is quite busy well into the evening and has the usual noise from people out and about. The double/triple glazed sash windows are very good at keeping out the noise but would recommend asking for a rear room if you...

We stayed at Dowgill House on a friends recommendation and so pleased that we did. The location is perfect, near all the pubs and cafes as well as a great fish and chippy next door. The rooms were spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was great (best mushrooms on toast). We will be back
