We stayed for 4 nights at this place in December 2024. The rooms were nice and comfortable. Deep, the hotel manager was very helpful and accomodative to our small requests. He goes out of his way to make your stay comfortable. The staff too are very helpful. Recommended.

Very friendly helpfull owner and staff, the rooms where clean and in a quiet environment . Coffee, thee and bottle of water complementary. The breakfast was also very good! We stayed for 2 nights. 100 meters further there was a good restaurant.

It was very Decent Place with basic amenities. Breakfast offered was good taste. Rooms are quiet spacious. Special thanks to Mr. Deep for taking extra care and being very friendly with us and guiding us the places in Nainitaal.

Avoid getting in to the trap on sightseeing support from the hotel staff and Harish Kumar Arya (the cab driver). It was a frustrating experience. Nainital is a small place and most of the spots are closer to Mall road. Everything is at a walkable distance. Negotiate with a local cab guy and get things going
Rooms - Pictures are quite old. They need a major revamp in overall cleanliness and upkeep. We were disappointed
Location and cost - There are better hotels in and around with the same or slightly more cost. So think twice
No live kitchen - For anyone with family, it's a big bummer. You need to go out all the time

We had wonderful stay at Naini Retreat.It is beautiful property with mixture of antique & modernization.Hotel staff is very polite & humble. We celebrated our 10th Anniversary where hotel provided a special candle light dinner.This is a heavenly place to stay in Nainital.

The stay at the bungalows Pinewood was a very pleasant experience. It is nestled in Mallital which is about 10 min away from mall road by car. The fully furnished apartments has 2 rooms with attached bathrooms, a beautiful furnished drawing room with LED and a small compact kitchen with utensils /microwave etc. It is like a home away from home. Even the caretaker ( Gautam) was warm and took good care of us.
We could order food from take ways but would advise food to be eaten outside as it does tend to take a bit of time to get food delivered from take ways except Earl court which is just alongside.
In all a good property and better than a hotel any day. Would love to stay here again.

I had booked this hotel seeing great reviews and guess what, it was wonderful stay.
Location - It is near high court, so little away from lakeside and mall road. As Nainital is a very uphill place you may have to hire taxi if you want to go lakeside. If you have your own car then it’s not a problem. As it is not a very well known hotel, you can take your car near the well-known Swiss hotel and take the lane beside it. Rating 3.5/5
Food - Nainital is food-lover's delight. There are ample restaurants in Mall road and you can choose one according to your pocket. In this hotel there is no restaurant. If you pre-order they will arrange it. Breakfast is complimentary. Rating 4/5
Parking - Available for 4-5 cars. Rating 5/5
Interior - This is the most attractive part of this property. If you take deluxe room, they will provide refrigerator, microwave, kitchenware. All the furnitures are well maintained. Rating 5/5
Entertainment - Ther is a big LED in the drawing-room with all HD channels. Free Wi-Fi available. There is no children place. Rating 4.5/5
Behaviour - Manager Mr.Deep needs special mention. I have not seen such a nice manager in my whole life. If you have any problem just call him and it will be sorted out. He will guide you about local sightseeing and can arrange one if you want. All the other staffs are very polite and well behaved. Rating 5/5

Nice, clean, homely, quite.... What else..... It's Everything! I would like to appreciate your staff along with Mr.Deep, they took really good care. Truly, no other place is better than Pinewood for family, yet I have stayed many other places before, but Pinewood is No.1. My friend from UK was with us, he too appreciated.
