I have stayed in hotel Himalaya in the 3rd week of December 2019.This hotel is located near nainital bus stand which is only plus point otherwise nothing special about this hotel. It's is situated at a very steep height and not recommended at all for any age group. Food and staff both are average. Heritage room was spacious but with ordinary facilities.Be aware of dogs outside hotel as they might attack on you as happened in my case bitten my 5 year old kid. A complete no go hotel until unless no other accommodation available.

I have booked a standard room in this hotel through Agoda which costs 4.5 inclusive tax.They have upgraded my room into heritage room. The hotel is situated in Tallital,the Nainital lake has two portion Tallital and Mallital. You can see lake from the hotel..though I have booked city view room. Regarding hotel I must say nice hotel,helpful staff,food is tasty and rich in quantity...staff Mohan and Dinesh remarkably good. They maintain cleanliness of the room very nicely. You can get hot water in the tap from 6.00 am to 12.00pm and 6.00pm to 8.00pm....They also provide you hot water in bucket if you need beyond this time...One negative point is that the road is very steep from the bus stand to reach the hotel...if you have aged persons ,then it will be difficult to reach the hotel through walking. But you can get bike taxi. I am giving you the no of a bike taxi...HEMANT..8869814079....honest guy…

Well it was overall great experience while staying in Hotel Himalaya. The location, view from room, cleanliness, services everything was perfect, I went with my wife and small kid. The staff was very helpful. I personally recommend to stay in Hotel Himalaya while visiting Nainital.

Best place to stay at nainital.Well behaved staff , clean rooms ,good food, Huge Heritage rooms give a good stay experience.lake facing are modern rooms with huge glass window with a private patio.

We were apprehensive before booking. However, after check-in, we loved everything about Hotel Himalaya. The booking experience was great and so was the check-out. The room was amazing and so is the location. It is tucked up from where you get to see the lake clearly and at the same time, it is quiet and serene. We loved Nainital and the entire experience. Thank you Hotel Himalaya.

The hotel is located near the lake with beautiful room and view. The service and staff are really good and food is hygienic and tasty. Mr. Devendra our service assistant made our stay comfortable. This was a memorable stay.

We recently visited this Hotel at Nainital. We booked a family room. Although the view from the hotel was beautiful, the hotel itself is not so great for the price it charges. The rooms lack cleanliness, and the bathrooms are dirty and leaking. Hot water in winter is a necessity but the hotel does not provide hot water throughout the day. Due to the lack of cleanliness, there are rats inside the room. We had to face rats coming up onto our beds while sleeping. The management is not prompt to give assistance. The helpers at the hotel don't even bother to help the guests with their problems. When complained about the rat and the room service, the hotel manager and the staff only said that they will look into the same, but no solution was provided. Despite promising amenities such as a heater, the one provided was not in working condition. The food was nothing great either. Hotel stay is not recommended. …

This hotel is located bang above the bus stand, so it is convenient in a way that you dont have to book another cab from bus stand to hotel. The rooms were adequately clean , and better maintained than many hotels in nainital. They have all types of rooms eg .for large families ( 4 beds), rooms with view, larger heritage room ( no view but a nice sitting out area n extra bed)..etc. the buffet breakfast has a good variety ( much better than Bhikampur lodge). My main aim is to pick and drop my child from school...this hotel is ideal!

Pros: This property is located 200m from where the Mall road starts, just next to the bus stand. It has an excellent view of the lake and Mall road is also visible. Your room is a 2min walk from the lake and the nearest boating station is just a 3 mins walk Go for the lake view rooms. You can see the lake as soon as you move the curtains. Food and staff are very nice. They have their own parking also. Perfect place of you don't want to be right on the mall road. Cons: The hotel premises are reachable only via a very steep but motorable hike for about 100m.

Himalaya Hotel is near the lake. Some rooms give excellent view especially lake facing rooms. Otherwise ambiance of hotel is average. Service below par. Breakfast buffet was not adequate. Average experience.
