Stoneheights is the best place to stay and have some peaceful and quiet time. Anil Bajaj is the owner who makes sure that you stay in comfort and in a pleasant environment. Hospitality and food is great. The rooms are great with all kinds of facilities. The surrounding of the place is truly mesmerizing. We enjoyed every moment of it. I highly recommend this place for your next trip. Thanks Anil for taking such good care of us.
I visited last month as a solo lady traveller. On a quest to check out places that would be suitable for lone lady travellers and families. So after some relevant review researches and a few phone call talks with the owner, I made a booking for two nights for The Upper End room. I landed up on a rainy afternoon at kathgodam railway station where I was met by a cab guy arranged by the owner.. Nominal cost Rs 800/- for the one hour drive, about 35 kms to the property, an all uphill drive. It falls on the national highway itself at a village called Gethia, (just about 4 kms short of Nainital by a short cut which is drivable) and just about 600 ft lower than Nainital. The place is untouched by commercial construction and does feel like a hill station. Though there are no shops, restaurants in Gethia.. It does have a lot of resorts.. meant mostly for people looking to get away from the city crowds and who just want to chill and relax and do their own thing in a hill station environment of an oak forest. Getting back to the property, Stone Heights is a pretty cozy Villa with a character that stands out and is as the name suggests, lots of wood and stone. A new construction with deliberate old fashioned looks and all ultra modern amenities. An boutique property would be an apt description. It's rooms are large, bright, airy and furnished so that it states good taste and refinement. Large mirrors, a desk providing enough space for women's vanity essentials.. Extra disposal bags, shower caps, slippers.. make it just so much more women friendly. That the owner is an mature well educated gentleman, and who stays on the property itself provides an feeling of safety along with a security cc tv network in public areas of the villa. Considering it is his home and not more than three rooms are given out at any point of time. . .. And the owner is somewhat discrete about the kind of guests he likes to have and does not entertain walk in customers... All making for a safe single woman place to stay. ( pets are allowed too on prior request) The cleanliness was five star standard .. Service friendly and unobtrusive .. and almost 24 hrs as it's so personalised... It's like actually being a house guest . The food is awesome and freshly prepared and is home food. All in all... Two big thumbs up for Stone Heights.…
Stone heights is a beautiful property to stay.I with my family and children stayed their for 2 days and the uncle and aunt made our stay so lovely that i would recommend everyone to visit this place. I m thankful to the cooks who did really great job of serving.. Interior and the exterior of the house is beautifully done. Rooms are spacious enough and the facility of toiletries were provided too.
A perfect weekend escape from Delhi. This unique home is cosy with stunning views of the surrounding hills. The owners went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel at home. The food was simply delicious and plentiful! We had a bbq on our last night which made it very special. We were given directions (and a guide most of the way!) for a gentle hike to Nanital and enjoyed a relaxing time soaking up the town, circling the lake, watching some cricket on the flat and looking down from the cable car. Let’s not forget the good coffee and cake! We enjoyed another day relaxing with a good book and view in the homes tranquil garden. I definitely recommend this place for a relaxing break to help you unwind in the fresh hill airs.
Me and my wife stayed for a single night only in April 2017. it is a small property located away from noises of road. Owner Mr Bajaj was very helpful. Nice homely breakfast as per our choice. Good place to relax away from busy schedule. Enjoyed the stay.
We visited in the month of May 2019 with friends and family - group of 10 people (including kids) and stayed for 6 nights. With all 3 rooms booked the entire property was available to us. The property is amazing and cozy (with lots of stones and woods used and therefore the name - Stone Heights) for a comfortable stay with all facilities available. With the property located bit outside of Nainital in the midst of forest, we could hear various sounds of the birds and animals. In house cook prepared delicious food everyday including customizing appropriately for kids. On our request a live barbeque was also arranged during one of the evenings which all of us enjoyed with good music. Mr. and Mrs. Bajaj were amazing hosts telling us promptly everyday on interesting places and tips to visit including good restaurants in and around Nainital. Highly recommended for family and friends especially with kids. Look forward to visiting this place in future if we do visit Nainital.…
Nestled in woods, an elegantly decorated lovely bunglow, that welcomes you with its helpful staff and warm host is one line description our stay at Stone heights at Nainital. This is best place to stay with kids as they get to play and interact with nature. Also the staff accommodates all your food demands with all care and love. The location is great as all the major attractions (Nainital, Mukteshwar, Bhimtal, Stattal) are just a drive away. Mr and Mrs Bajaj are the perfect host who take care of your smallest possible request. Also they are tge best guide to suggest the places to visit and dine around. We enjoyed our stay to fullest and surely returning back to this home away from home.

Visited Stone heights for new year's eve with a few friends. It's a cottage that proved to be an excellent break from the hustle of the city. Dependable staff, serene location and great rates. There were many hiking trails around, and the cottage itself was also equipped with means for entertainment such as books and board games. Would recommend!
