The Pavilion is a family hotel situated in the heart of Nainital. With its parking area, children's park, activity room and open spaces and spacious rooms it is an apt hotel for families and people travelling in smaller groups and also for solo travelers. We have tried to maintain the old world charm of the hotel which was originally build in 1880 and was run by Mrs Pert as a tea parlour. We are proud to run a hotel which had evolved into a landmark which is loved by all.

One of the best hotels in its category. Very nice location, peaceful surrounding, away from chaos of the main town, but yet eaasily accessible. It is a heritage hotel with nice rooms with good amenities, open area, play area, parking. Food is good and staff is co-operative

I was coming back to The Pavillion after almost 10 years and was surprised at the makeover of the hotel. We stayed in the Heritage family suite which has 2 huge bedrooms with king size beds and 2 huge bathrooms, which is a rarity in Nainital. The resort is shining and looks new with all the renovation. Mall road is a 10 minute walk while going downhill, but coming up is longer, although it doesn't feel very tiring. The gaming room was a bit of letdown as everything needed maintenance, the TT table has broken pads, The carrom board is rough with only coins missing, Chess has missing pieces. We did not have food so cannot comment on the quality. Better to take without meals as anyway one tends to go out for eating at the mall. The major plus point is ample parking. If you are going to drive in your own car, then be aware that during peak season of May-Jun, as per new rules, you can take your car inside Nainital only if you show confirmed booking of a Hotel which has its own parking. If you are driving up via Kaladhungi, there is a checkpost 1 km before nainital where they will check your booking and if you have booked a hotel without parking, then you will have to leave your car at a parking near the check post and take a cab to your hotel. This is true for all other entries to Nainital, so come prepared accordingly.

We booked this place via MakeMyTrip, which also meant we did the full payment before the stay period. We were given room 205, (claimed to be upgraded by the hotel). Pics attached will surprise the reader, of the standard of an upgraded room!! How much worse would then a standard room be, I wonder. Points that made the stay totally disappointing - It being a very cold Hill station, one would expect 24 hrs hot water. BUT, hot water available only in the morning and evening between 6 & 9 - No wifi....they give u username and password. But it doesn't connect ever. An eyewash and bluff - The room had steps inside the room, (in front of bathroom and next to bed), due to which I fell twice in the room!! - Room heaters available only on demand - When we requested to change rooms, they showed another room in same wing that had horrible stench of some chemical used as insecticides. They claimed it was phenyl. Are hotel rooms supposed to stink of phenyl to?!?! - We requested for another room that was empty. They came back saying the room was occupied. Nobody came that entire day as they claimed. They prefer keeping a room shut than having a customer satisfied. The room we paid for, wasn't cheap. 5280/- for the room they gave was a rip off..... - The floor was dirty, the sofa was stained, walls were leaky, the list can go on. The photos will justify my words. The only saving grace was the breakfast that was served in the morning. LESSON LEARNT is that the hotel keeps aside the bad rooms for MakeMytrip clients as the hotel has already received the payment and they have nothing to lose. Customer happiness and satusfaction is last in their list. They give the nicer/neater rooms to walk-ins as the clients take the room only after checking the rooms themselves. Pics attached to show the state of the so called "upgraded room" we stayed in......avoid advance payment.....they dont give you good rooms

This place is overpriced for the amenities, or should I say lack of amenities. The rooms we got where of different sizes, tucked away at the end of a corridor on the ground floor with no views at all or a balcony. They rooms were clean but one was small and other big though we paid the same rate for two standard rooms. The amenities are basic, a wardrobe and basic toiletries. One room had a coffee maker the other was missing the kettle. The bathrooms are clean but don’t have hot water all the time. So if it’s middle of the day, you will need to wait for the hot water to start as the water is freezing cold here. The Wi-Fi shows up but does not work. The hotel seems to have good rooms but it’s also a game of luck. I saw at least two other guests who asked for a change of room. Remember, you are paying around Rs 4000 for a room here a night. That’s almost what you pay for a star hotel in a metro city. The one good aspect here is the good food and friendly staff. However, I could not help but notice how the waiters hung around the main galley of the hotel, the only place with good mobile connectivity. This is not what I expected, certainly not for the money. Also, it’s a distance from the centre of the town and the restaurants so you will need climb uphill to get back which is not easy. Disappointed.

This was my second stay here . First the positives Hotel location is prime . Hotel looks good well renovated Good parking space Negative No drinking water in room.its alright I understand but I asked twice with the wait of almost half and hour and more finally I had to go to the reception and ask if I can have some water . Very questionable service. Rooms were very spacious but cold at same time so had to ask for extra blanket . Breakfast doesn't have options .

This hotel is on Mallital road and a goof walkable distance from Mall road if you want to walk. We had booked standard rooms as only those were available. The rooms we got on the 2nd floor were dingy and smelly and too congested. We asked for change of rooms as these were very bad and the toilets were old and sprays not working. We were shown 2 suites which were much better and we went out to do some sight seeing. We got back to know the suites were given out and again there were no choices. We were then given 2 br rooms one with 2 single beds and a double bed. This was better but not stay able and made us feel glad we had booked only for 1 night. The taps were broken and not checked before hand. How did they get the customer awards for 2017 is a wonder. Pl don't book here except for the double suites rest are all dumps
