I have to admit that I'm a bit puzzled by the positive reviews for this hotel. It's not a bad hotel, but I can not recommend it. We visited in March and paid 105 eur for a room without breakfast. First the positives, the hotel in itself is set in a beautiful building and the entrance is impressive. The terrace...

I found this hotel while looking for locations that were central to a bunch of white villages we planned to visit (Cómpeta, Frigiliana, Salares, Riogordo, Aluchar, etc). And while Vélez Malaga was not our favorite city, it was quiet, local and the hotel itself was fabulous. A true gem. And I cannot say enough how wonderful Maria the host is....

I traveled to Velez Malaga with my mum for a weekend treat. We were treated wonderfully by the hotel host - Maria - for whom the personal touch was everything. She looked after us from the beginning to the end. She organised parking, umbrellas, spa treatments and restaurant reservations. Nothing was or would have been too much trouble. She even...

You'll see in the other reviews what a lovely and well run boutique hotel Palacio Blanco is. I want to stress how kind, thoughtful and caring the owner is. My wife caught a cold on our second day in Velez-Malaga. The owner was always thoughtful, making her tea or orange juice and asking after her. Hopefully you won't get sick...

We wanted a small hotel off the tourist track. This suited our needs perfectly. In a lovely part of the old town of velez. Hotel was scrupulously clean and unusual in design. Rooms were lovely and hosts could not do enough for us. Easy walking distance to bars and restaurants and a lovely old town to explore.

A very special and stylish place to enjoy and unwind! A true boutique hotel with well thought through personal touches throughout - quiet seating areas, a library, well stocked reasonably priced honesty bar, freezer full of ice and even an ice bucket on a stand to help yourself to. The overall vibe is unfussy but chic, welcoming and instantly relaxing....

we were recommended this hotel by friends... and it did not disappoint!! . Christa and Yan are amazing hosts. nothing was to much trouble. the hotel is chic and sophisticated with only 9 rooms, all tastefully decorated, spacious and spotlessly clean. the roof terrace pool was welcome after exploring the town. the honesty bar system was a lovely touch. We started visiting this amazing boutique hotel not long after it opened and despite going to other places and staying in some wonderful hotels nothing comes close to my "Palacio time". Christa always makes you welcome on arrival with a friendly face and a drink to start the chill. The rooftop area is amazing for chilling, sunbathing, having a drink...

We spent a week enjoying the most excellent hospitality in this small, stylish hotel. The atmosphere is one of an elegant guest house, with the guests greeting each other as they appear at their breakfast tables in the central patio. An excellent breakfast at that. Fresh fruit, fresh bread, and gluten-free on request, yoghurts, salads, excellent espresso and other coffee...

We stayed only 2 nights at this beautiful hotel and left wishing it was longer. The owners Christa and Jan were so welcoming but in a very laid back and homely fashion. We were offered drinks on arrival by Christa and she explained where everything was and the honesty system for buying drinks - just keep a tab on what...
