I do not know what's more to boast: decorating the Riad or kindness of Jen and her girls or an excellent breakfast. It's a bit complicated to find the exact location in Medina of Sale but only for the first time, of course. Extraordinary

gorgeous, well appointed riad with helpful staff and a hospitable owner who happens to be British ( so no worries if you dont speak French or Arabic ). Jan took great pains to help us navigate the labyrinth of the medina, pointing out the highlights of the medina and souk on a copy of a map she made for her...

We stayed at the repose on the 6th and the 8th of April. From the breakfast to the rooms to the hospitality of Jan and her girls, everything was beautiful. From the moment we came in, we were greeted with teas, oranges, little biscuits (which were so good my mum paid for Jan to make a whole box more for...

I have rarely felt so cared for as I did at The Repose. Travelling with my daughter and her two small children, we were welcomed on arrival with drinks, fruit and cakes and shown around the exquisitely restored riad, which includes a lovely roof terrace. There are just 4 suites, each decorated in a particular style and colour. Mine, The...

My husband and I had the best stay imaginable at The Repose. We booked last minute via hotels.com and were treated with a fabulous stay in the African Suite. Do not miss out on having dinner at The Repose - you're in for a homemade Moroccan cuisine dinner, sure to be a highlight of your stay. Breakfast was fantastic -...

Jan and Rachid have lovingly restored this riad in Sale's medina to make it the perfect choice for an introduction to Morocco. This was my first visit to the country and my friend and I shared the traditionally furnished (and beautifully appointed) Mango Suite on the first floor for three nights. We took our breakfasts on the roof terrace -...

My sister and I stayed in The Mango Suite whilst visiting our cousin in Rabat....he recommended The Repose.....and well recommended! Gorgeous food....even if you are not vegetarian......everyone could not do enough for you. Rooms are beautifully designed and attention to detail second to none. We had a fantastic stay.

We stayed for three nights in the Mango suite on the first floor. Before our trip, Jan had been super-helpful responding to queries and organising our taxi. She and her staff were delightful - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were excellent, different menu every day and the vegetarian evening meals could not be bettered anywhere. Not too much to...

I've travelled quite widely throughout Morocco myself... and found The Repose to be a perfect way to introduce my daughter to what I love about this amazing country. Unlike some 'touristy' Moroccan towns or city's, Sale remains so wonderfully unspoilt. Unlike some other Riads this one perfectly combines traditional authentic touches with those all important comforts. Will definitely be back!

The Repose was an amazing place in an amazing country! The riad is beautiful and comfortable with great food. While we never had dinner, the breakfasts lead me to believe their dinners are fantastic. Everyone is helpful and Jane is a wonderful host! She arranged everything we asked for. I couldn't have been happier with our stay in The Repose!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Repose, is an oasis of calm in the heart of Sale's traditional medina, Rabat. Lovingly restored by the owners, Rachid and Jan, this luxury riad has been renovated and decorated using traditional materials and craftsmanship to give a haven of peace and tranquility. The whole riad oozes Moroccan charm and each of the 4 suites has its own unique identity. The salon is ideal for dining in the cooler months, reading a book or playing games. The courtyard is great for sipping tea, listening to the splashes of the fountain, while the terrace is fabulous for breakfast, sunbathing or siestas in the shade.
