Kabul star hotel is proud to provide 5 star services to its guests in Kabul Afghanistan. We are fast expanding our chain of hotels hopefully all over Afghanistan. We make sure we cover all market segments. Kabul Star Hotel was founded on 21-April-2007 (01-Sawar-1386). Construction of the building has spanned more than four years in which most of the material had been imported from abroad, and instinctive care has been taken in order to meet the international hotels standard.

We stayed at the Kabul Star Hotel for the first time on this trip to Afghanistan and had a very positive experience. The hotel is new and several stories tall, has a very good quality full buffet in the restaurant on the main floor, serves breakfast ala carte and has good security.

Rooms are comfortable and clean, everything is new, hot water on demand, a three star hotel or better by western standards. Cable TV, wifi, land line phone. Front desk check in very helpful and accomodating. Located near Wazir Akbar Khan, Camp Eggers, Sharhe Naw, near stationary row and several banks.

Seemed more popular with local Afghan professionals than with expatriate community. Afghan families were there on weekends and the restaurant was usually full in the evenings. Nice place all around.

I've been staying in this hotel several times during last two years, each time from one to max three weeks in a row. In non-war world I'd say that this hotel is average at the maximum, but according to the circumstances, it is actually very good: tight security. friendly staff, restaurant with good local food (breakfast, lunch, dinner - all buffet), internet... Sometimes room was really cold, but they provided heater - in winter, better to take warm pyjama with you ;)

I love the food at the Buffett, the waiter so friendly too and want to come my room to enjoy and make special friends. I enjoyed this hotel so much.
Outside the hotel is close to lovely park with more friendly men to enjoy and take a evening stroll to relax and enjoy. The hotel is close to everything for lovely holiday and nice time with many attractions and things.

the hotel is fine from a security point of view. the staff is reasonable friendly, the rooms are somehow reasonable, the price is reasonable (60 usd) but everything is just below standard. don't expect internet to work, toilet to flush or a nice cozy breakfast. Do i need to go on? i guess you got the picture...

This is a new hotel in Kabul situated near the city centre in a well secured compound with ample car parking.
Excellent restaurant facilities with a choice of food from many nations, and very good facilities for business meetings , seminars or conferences.
A good choice for both first time visitors or regular users of hotel facilities in this rapidly developing city.
Yes it is in what is known as a war zone, but really it is far safer than portrayed by the media, I have lived and worked in Afghanistan for 8 years and life is good.

Yhe hotel would be ok if the cleaning staff did actually clean the rooms!! restaurant runs the same buffet night after night with little variation.

Security was well staffed and efficient.

The noise from the main road is bad so get a room as high up as you can at the back of the hotel

Have been to this hotel before and it was better. Now seems to be in a decline. Security good when coming in. In seminar rooms check that the internet is working- and even so it goes on and off. As it does in the rooms also. Reception´staff don´t speak much English so requires patience. But they try to be helpful.
Lots of seminars and construction work so doesn´t feel that safe once inside the hotel. Very many more locals also so sometimes I was the lone woman at lunch in a sea of local men. Food ok though overpriced- and mostly the same. But fairly tasty. Before service was better at breakfast.
The pool is festering. I used the gym but never saw anyone else there.

If you like cold pizza and fries for breakfast rooms that are never clean and reception staff that constantly ask for tips or work then stay here but so far after a month it’s possibly the worst hotel l have stayed in

A 5 star hotel in a war Thorne country of Afghanistan that exceeds your expectations. Rooms were of a very decent size and had amenities that cannot be found in most 5 star hotels in Australia.

Guard at the front of the gate were very friendly, restaurant was okay and have a decent menu.
