Stayed and had dinner and lunch couple of times at Kabul Intercontinental. If you are visiting Kabul and looking for local food, continental is the right place. Their lunch are limited and dinners are better. Dinner buffet cost around 20$ & lunch cost Approx $15.

My wife and I stayed here in early February 2016. First off I have to say the staff are really friendly and accomodating. The house keepers on level 3 were brilliant, well mannered and cleaned our room to perfection everyday. Just a few things to keep in mind, the distance to the main town of Kabul is 15 minutes driving...

The hotel is beautiful, being built long ago, and offers great views amidst the quietness. The security arrangement is tight and it lets you sleep well. The restaurant serves good food and has local live music in the evening buffet. The rooms are clean and have a balcony each.

Security is a concern in Kabul and this hotel was attacked once. The security arrangements are good. Being a Ministry of Finance owned Hotel, it has Afghan Police Security. I stayed there for nearly 11 months in 2013-14 and I enjoyed the place. The hotel is very neat and clean and we felt lonely as it has very little occupation. It...

The hotel is absolutely beautiful - although it feels a bit ghostly because its lonely and has very little occupation. Anyway, it was built to be a grand hotel, which it is. The security arrangements are good. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious - each with their balcony. There is good quality free wifi in the hotel and helps...

Yes, many would perhaps think differently about this hotel especially since this one was a victim of an attack couple of years ago thus making it look like security wise vulnerable and unprepared. But after that episode, the hotel has surely enhanced its security environment manifold making it one of the most secure places for private events (per one of...

Many aspects of excellence at this hotel. The room was well appointed, room service is prompt and accurate, prices are reasonable given the infrastructure needed to support the quality of this establishment in an ongoing conflict area. Security is strong and taken seriously by the ANP unit assigned. The view is superior with Kabul inviting exploration below. A park just...

In Kabul it is hard to find a good hotel. I would be very satisfied if i could find a hotel which had minimum requirements of comfort. The name of this hotel misled me unfortunately. The location is very nice, It is out of city center. But city center is not far; if you can find a cab to hire....

I was in Kabul March-April 2014, and just want to let everyone know that our security people deemed the Intercon to be insufficiently safe, even for a daytime visit. (We stayed somewhere else). After my stay in 2010 (available here on Tripadvisor), I speculated that the remote location and hilly landscape made an insurgent attack a difficult undertaking. My view...
