Detailed Reviews
From the minute you walk in, you can feel a great vibe. I stayed there for two weeks and I kept coming back for the food afterwards lol. The food selection is also very nice. It's very enjoyable to sit outside and enjoy the view of the river and the street. The street is not too crowdy but there is enough going on for people watching if you're into that. The staff is very kind and I would recommend to stay here.

I went to Geminai with some friends at lunch, have to say that the staff here is very friendly and enthusiastic. They always smile when explaining to us about the food and even giving us advice about them. Cozy atmosphere with music and good food, will definitely come back.

We stayed at the Geminai for 5 days at the end of December 2020. what a lovely place. The cafe downstairs is so pretty, and the food is possibly the best in the city. But best of all was the staff there. Phuong, Cuong and the rest of the staff we so kind and hospitable. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Room Tip: The bathroom in our room was quite small, but all the other rooms I saw they were much larger.

We ate at the cafe; didn't stay at the hotel. Hands down, one of the best places we ate during our country wide, 14 day tour in Vietnam. We highly recommended this place to anyone. It was a great selection of food, the food was delicious, the staff was super friendly, and they speak numerous languages.

This hotel was a wonderful surprise! As soon as we walked in the door we knew we hit a gem 💎 so different from every other hotel we have stayed in in the last 21 days. The rooms were spacious with great furniture and design, from the curtains, art work and the awesome tile work in the bathroom. Now the staff well nothing short of amazing, they were kind and caring. The coffee ☕️ is excellent but I have to say the chef 👨🍳 she is the star for us. You have to try the pumpkin soup, veggie cashew burger and cabbage rolls along with the coconut jelly and the flan desert! I just wish we were staying longer to try all her other wonderful dishes. Everything is homemade not pre made and frozen or microwaved. The wait is not long so kick back enjoy the music have a glass of wine 🍷 or cold local beer and enjoy. One more comment because I could go on an on the manager well she is awesome and speaks wonderful English. Enjoy your stay!

Our group has 16 people, stayed in August. We had 6 rooms in total. The rooms are spacious, clean, with the reasonable price. Even though, we did not have much time staying in rooms. But there are some problem with housekeeping department
Upon we check in, 1 room was set up not enough towels. But that's ok. We ignored it.
Until we checked out, we had a big trouble. They checked the rooms and informed us that 3 towels were lost. But the reason is that when they made up my room and forgot to fill towels to my room. We tried to explain, let the receptionist permission to check our luggage and asked him check camera because we even stayed in room in the daytime to use towels, but he didn't and still tried to blame for us. Finally, the receptionist didn't charge us but we wasted 1 hour. The receptionist should have listened instead of blaming us

Central Vietnam boasts many wondrous natural attractions. Among those is the collection of charming towns that dot the coast between Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) and Hanoi. One such is Dong Hoi in the Quan Binh Province. Bordered by the breathtaking landscape of the world famous Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park to the west and a gleaming strand of white sandy beaches to the east, Dong Hoi simply buzzes with a bohemian energy many find impossible to resist.
My week at Geminai (Aug 21-26, 2017) gave me the perfect vantage point from which to witness and appreciate the charms of this burgeoning beachside bohemia. The owners created a haven for those who crave the creature comforts (kicking a/c, mood lighting, cushy arm chairs and sofas, plus delicious food) while treating their cafe guests to an aesthetic experience like no other. The eclectic arrangement of tiling and textiles is both cool and warm. The staff is eager to please. The Chef and Matriarch, known as Mama Sen, is a force of nature wrapped in a polished package of elegance. The hosts are grand ambassadors of Vietnamese hospitality and are always available to make their guests feel comfortable and welcomed.
Our room was an extension of the chic design found in the lobby and cafe. We were treated to a balcony overlooking the plaza and bay, perfectly framing sunrises that paint the town with an ethereal pallet.
The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning suitable. The space is immaculate though keep in mind the bathroom does not have a separate shower stall, a reasonable concession considering this is fairly standard in parts of Vietnam and the nightly rate here MORE than compensates for any adjustment Westerners have to make in their showering schema. I didn't find it to be a problem at all especially since the water pressure and temperature were excellent.
Overall I'd say Geminai sets a gold standard that many of their newer competitors will duplicate but probably not REplicate. If you are not sure where to stay in Dong Hoi, I highly recommend Geminai.

We arrived on Valentines Day night and although they were under the pump, they still managed (with a warm smile) to book us in and serve us dinner and drinks. The room was comfortable and incredible for the price! - $20 AUD per night for a room with a two double beds and wait.......INCLUDED BREAKFAST!
They held onto our bags for us while we killed time the next day after we checked out and it's a great place to stay if your interested in doing the Tui Lan Cave tour with Oxalis as they can pick up from here and it's not too far away.

It was the best stay in our trip in Vietnam! The room was spacious and clean and what's the best - the bed and pillow was just perfect! Be careful, you may want to sleep all day long, although cafe and restaurant downstairs is very tempting as well. We spent there a lot of time, due to the weather conditions (it was raining all the time), it's a perfect place to relax. You can sit on a comfortable chair and sofa bed, listen to the soft music or simply read a book. Food is also delicious, we've tried a few meals, all of them were very tasty.
We have to mention, that owners and the staff are lovely people, fully professional.
Do not look for any other hotel in the area, go to Geminai! :)

The staff are really excellent. The downstairs coffee shop, social area are perfect for making friends and having a good chillin' time. A/C in the room is nice and cold, many showers available and also immaculately clean, especially the traditional titles. We can book high quality tour to the National Park Phomg Nha and beyond through the hotel reception. They can manage the bus ticket to Hue and Hoian also. Overall, one of the best place I have stayed at. Highly recommend.
