Thanks to our agency, we had a chãnce to stay at hotel's 2nd Fl. You can watch sunset and sunrise on the beach from bed and enjoy the view. Breakfast is not various and we always had to call staff to remind that we had 3 persons in room, not 2 so plz provide enough amenities. And the location is quite far from centre.

A decent average hotel located at the corner, right on the beach. Check in only for a comfortable stay and nice view. Long stay not much recommended as it is very far with nothing much around. Can be considered for a quiet stay with an amazing view from the room. Ask for room with view at the reception before hand itself.
Reception is quiet helpful in that case.

Location is a little far from town, but close to the beach. Easy access to Seafood restaurants along beach. Hotel has toiletries kit, hot water. Breakfast is largely Vietnamese cuisine, which was good. Rooms are acceptable.

This pretty new exquisitely clean hotel is a little way out of town but overlooks the beach. The staff are friendly with limited but understandable English, much better than our Vietnamese. Our intention was to visit Phong Na national park. Unfortunately, it is winter, the weather started off chilly and raining so we stayed around town.

This is a beautiful new hotel on the beach about 2km walk back to town. Staff very friendly and want to help with any need. Some staff could speak English. Room and shower super clean but the bed is a bit firm for me, none the less I had a great night sleep listening to the waves, pay the extra 4$ and have the front sea view.

We thought it would be nice to stay in a new hotel on the beach as appears to the river. I understand it was going to be a little bit more quiet and a new place will have growing pains. However in this instance, 10 minutes was too long. The amount of time I spent in the room directly correlated with the amount of time it took me to book another hotel in the closest proximity.

1. Blood on the sheets
2. Dirty comb on the sink.
3. Half used shampoo and conditioner.
4 trash on the window sill

Not quite sure if that’s the only room they have used since the grand opening or not.
This place is certainly desolate for a very good reason.

Side note... they seemed surprised to have a reservation appear in the books, and were extra surprised when the name on it matched our passports.

This short experience in no way reflects any other during my time in Vietnam. The hospitality thus far has been amazing

we didn't feel like we made the right choice in booking this hotel, especially at this time of year. the beach looks amazing but it was too cold and wind-swept to be around it. the hotel is far from the centre and normally, the 30 minutes walk along the beach would be lovely, but not in december.
the hotel was rather empty, and at times, there was nobody at reception, leaving us stranded (to get a taxi, we had to go to a nearby and busier hostel). communication was very limited as their english was virtually non existent. breakfast was a struggle, with no choice at all. on our second day, they just turned up with meat dumplings, which we declined politely. surely, they could come up with 2 or 3 breakfast options. the staff weren't particularly keen to help. in fact, for all the information we needed we went to the fabulous treehugger cafe in town.
the room was spacious and clean but rather cold. maybe in summer this is a great place to stay, although i cannot see how communication would improve. all in all, i would not recommend this hotel

Arrived here one day after Typhoon Dorksuri. There was Debris everywhere. Got to the Hotel, was made very welcome by the reception staff. English was good. Rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, quiet, and over looking the beach. The servicing of the rooms was timely and efficient. The dining room was on the 11th Floor... and what a view from there while eating your breakfast.... views on 3 sides. Dong Hoi is in its infancy for tourism, and can recommend it for people who like to go to places that are not "fully" tourist places, it is a very pretty town. Good value for money.

The room itself was decent.
The reception was very bad, limited to no English, and no help at all. We stayed during the hurricane, and the reception wanted us to go to the town to eat, DURING the storm.
Would not recommend for any non Vietnamese speaking travelers

We stayed two nights in a twin room in Cao Minh. The room has everything you need, but it lacks some character to make it cosy. Dong Hoi is not very touristic and you notice this when interacting with the staff. In Cao Minh it's difficult to communicate since the people who work there can't speak English properly. Breakfast is served from 6 to 8 am which is rather early on a holiday. The hotel is ok and the location at the beach is nice, but it can be improved.
