There are several jungle treks, monastic treks, short treks, Orange Orchard treks from the Cottage. We have facilities for organising Bon fire adjacent to the front lawn for our guests designed to create memorable moments during your visit to the Burpeepal. Please refer to the photographs to view the picturesque surroundings. All this facilities come with the security of a home as we stay with our families in the compound and service staffs. Only once in a while, you come across a stay as pleasant as Burpeepal. From the immaculately clean rooms, manicured lawns , the wonderful view of the valley to the delightful stream that borders the property, the friendly dogs that lead you there , and the very large number and varieties of birds , everything about it marks it out as special. And even this is outdone by the hospitality of the hosts. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer .

Situated amidst nature,Burpeepal is bound to create lifetime memories! Its close to Gangtok, yet so far away from the din and the bustle. If you want to experience the silent language of nature, Burpeepal is the place. Bird watching, taking walks in and around the property,or simply sitting in the lawn can be so mesmerizing! One seems to be one with nature in this property! What makes this stay memorabe are the owners, Mr and Mrs Pradhan! The place is wonderfully curated with refined taste, and has clearly taken so much thought of the owners!Their freindly nature makes this place even more attractive! Dr Mrs Pradhan didnt have to think twice before lending her Binoculars to me! During our stay there , I enjoyed the heavy showers from the balcony and watched the mountains get drenched .The staff are friendly and cooperative. The food is homely and served well. What adds extra dimension to this property are the three dogs, Dora, Jolly and Bhalu. Leaving them behind really makes one feel so sad! I believe , I will visit this property soon!…

This is a farm house situated 45 mins away from Gangtok in a small village called Nandok. The entire property is surrounded with beauty, peace and serenity. The sound of the river flowing just beside the property is so peaceful. The rooms were very clean, cozy and spacious. You have a big lawn where you can ask the owner to arrange for your own bonfire. The food was extremely delicious and homely. And you have Jolly, Bhalu and Dora (pet dogs) for a warm welcome. Overall, this is a place for someone who wants to cut-off from the daily chaos and wants to have a leisure adminst the scenic beauty of nature.

A Excellence Home Stay. Villa is awesome. Owners Mr & Mrs Pradhan hospitality was out of this world. Dr Kaushalya ji was of great help when one of my friends fell sick. Very kind and generous. The ambiance of the villa is mind blowing. Food is like home food. Very flexible and accommodative. Well maintained Villa and garden. The silence of the place is killing. We fell in love with Burpeepal. Strongly recommend this property. If you are a pet lover they have three awesome dogs who are very friendly. Would love to visit again. Burpeepal Cottage was one of the best discoveries on our trip to Sikkim. A beautiful homestay surrounded by the hills, every part of it, from the lawn to the rooms are designed aesthetically. You can hear the sound of the river that flows near the homestay. Every meal here was a grand feast. The people here are too sweet. They are friendly and helpful. But it’s the three adorable dogs – Bhaloo, Jolly and Dora who take the cake. If you take the trail to the river, Bhaloo, Dora and Jolly accompany you through the jungle and get you back to the homestay. Lazing with the dogs in the huge lawn was the best time spent here. We were 6 friends who spent our 31st December in Burpeepal by the bonfire. 2020 ended beautifully for us. Thank you Kaushalya and Neeraj. We’ll surely come back again! …

Highly recommend staying at Burpeepal cottage. I and my wife stayed here for 3 nights and we really enjoyed the stay. The property is situated right amidst the hill and has amazing views all around. A 10 min walk takes you to the riverside which is very serene and scenic. Plus you also have an awesome german shepherd (Bhaloo) which will accompany you on the walk :-) The room was very clean and had all the necessary amenities. Neeraj also helped us with the heater when it was a bit cold. The staff are very helpful and make great homely food. The property is about 40 mins drive from Gangtok city center so make sure you clarify this with your taxi driver in advance. Overall, one of the best places I have stayed at.

BURPEEPAL COTTAGE. Aha! I really don't know how to start off , and it is all the more very difficult to finish off. Its like a FAIRY TALE. Many of you, I am sure dreamt of such an ABODE in your Best of Dreams since childhood. Once you reach Burpeepal you are enthralled by the location, peace and silence. Beautifully built , exquisitely located, tastefully decorated, hidden amidst the Hills and Forests, a perfect hideout for those who truly want to escape the COMPLEX city life and get drenched and soaked amidst Mother Nature. Only sound you get during the day is the gurgling symphony of the mountain stream and the cacophony of the exotic birds . As soon as the dusk sets in you will hear the secret sounds of Silence the Forest greets you with. The hooting of the Owls and Nightjar and Howling of the Jackals the chirpy crickets....Both Neeraj and Koushallya are perfect hosts, true nature lovers because inspite of both being highly placed professionals have willingly chosen to explore the rest of their lives amidst this wilderness. You can take short or long walks from this place to known and unknown destinations. Just stray and get lost in the woods and think of some FAIRY TALE. The food is excellent , cooked by Priya didi and Kaushalya Ma'am herself and served with utmost love by an ever-smiling handsome Lakho Tshering. Well you have more to accompany you, it will be very harsh if I don't mention Dora, Balu, Jolly who would cajole us to play 'Fetch'. So those who are looking for a place of absolute solitude amidst nature, peace and solace, and those who want to explore the UNEXPLORED....... BURPEEPAL COTTAGE is the place to visit . It's a must.
