We are frequent travelllers in Asia ,Europe and america and appreciate the differences our travels offer in terms of hotels, food ,nature and local people. But this hotel is something , beyond our immagination of what a hotel stay stand for. * the carpet in the hotel lobby was dirty, dad bugs here and there. * despite of the executive dubble room we booked, the room was very small, dirty, the bedding was from the previous customer, not changed, smelly bathroom. * we went back to the lobby to complain, the staff did not even say “ sorry”, instead offered another upgraded room, but this new room was even more distinct smelly of mold. We gave up in the end, but the staff did not react( we are not the first customer who react like we did, We guess.) We are usually quite tolerant and have full understanding of some mistakes can be made in some hotels, but their attitude at the reception and the way this hotel is managed is far below anybody’s immagination, DO NOT BOOK HERE.…
Excellent place to stay in gangtok. The view from the room is mesmerizing. Food is excellent and the service is good. Must visit Location is lil far away from MG Road but if u have a personal car then no problem. Else you have either call for a taxi or go down the road to catch taxi from the maim Road. Rest all excellent
i was looking for room little walking distance from market area so i can enjoy the waking distance, with pleasant weather. worth of my paid amount thanks to whole team for their kind welcome and care till i check out.
Good location. Quite far from the MG road the main shopping area and one needs a can to travel. I stayed in a suite room the room was spacious but bathroom was smelly. Poorly maintained property, uncooperative staff and extremely poor food. Pathetic service and dining experience. They even charge for room heater in peak winter and provide the guest with an extremely small heater. Overall totally dissatisfied, disappointed and cheated I paid @14k for my room with breakfast and dinner.
The property is located close to monastery which is good ,but the monastery was closed to the outsiders. The bad thing was that it is very difficult to get a taxi from the hotel. You have to walk down quite a way to try to get a taxi. It will be possible to get a taxi back to the hotel on reserved basis but not f om the hotel. Also the hotel rooms are very different from the photos. The staff is nice but appear untrained.
I was with my family at Gangtok and chose to stay here as it is a perfect combination of scenic beauty and Sikkim’s culture… A warm welcome, clean and comfortable rooms, Kanchenjunga view in the morning and super supportive staff… couldn’t ask for anything more. It’s one place where you feel home away from home. Browny point, one of the oldest monastery is hardly 5 mins walking above the property
The staff is warm affectionate and give you home like feel. The view is BREATHTAKING and it has the best sunshine to boast of out of all hotels in Gangtok. Would love to stay herebagain on my next and EVERY visit to gangtok.
Food is good . They provide heaters and hot water bottles for guests. Good rooms with great view of mountains and scenary . Morning view is spectacular .They just need to put white lights instead of yellow lights in bathrooms.
Mount Sinolchu is one of the best property in Gangtok to stay... most of the rooms has clear view of Kanchenjunga mountain and they serve authentic and fresh sikkim food along with other cousins. The staff is courteous and well trained to manage local sightseeing and business conferences. It’s situated near most beautiful area of Gangtok and best place to spend your holidays..
Finding a hotel in Gangtok with excellent facilities and superb view of Kanchenjunga is really tough. After a thorough research I choose Hotel Mount Siniolchu on VIP road, near Governor’s House. I was not wrong! I booked a suit and one crown Heritage room for my family. The rooms were wooden finished, clean, very well maintained, spacious, cozy, with excellent view of mountains just from window. You need not to go any view point for Kanchenjunga. The bathrooms were very well maintained with all modern facilities, 24x7 hot water. The suit room has a very cozy sitting area and a superb balcony. We were at 2nd floor rooms which also have an adjacent lounge area with very cozy sitting arrangements decorated with seasonal flowers. The restaurant was very nice with fantastic view of Kanchenjunga! From there I shoot some superb photos of sunrise on the entire Himalayan range. The food quality was also just awesome though varieties were little less in the buffet for those who are going to stay long. And finally the worth to mention is the hospitality and coordination of the front office manager, Ms Aleena Tamang! She organised everything from room to transport, suggested the best for us, to feel us comfortable like our home and truly enjoy the flavours of Sikkim. Overall it’s a star property and probably one the Gem among the Gangtok hotels from location, services to hospitality.…
