The rooms were large and spacious and if valleyfacing, with a nice view. The roadside rooms are bearable, as people here drive without blowing their horns continuously like the rest of India. Room service is a bit hit and miss, they forget to restock toilet paper, but otherwise the bathroom seemed clean. Food caters to mainland Indian tourists, so tends to be overspiced and oily. We got a stomach bug here over multiple days, so that spoiled much of our trip, and didn't eat much food here at all. A top restaurant recommendation for local food is Nimtoh in New Market.

Sikkim retreat is part of jagjeet hotels. We stayed here in the month of may, 2019 in super deluxe room. The room was clean and well furnished but needed a little bit more maintenance. But this little bits here and there can be overlooked. Food was tasty and cheap. There was a lot of options in the buffet breakfast. Staffs were friendly, polite and helpful. We loved staying there and wanted to come here again.
Stayed 3 nights with 5 rooms blocked. 3 out of 5 rooms did not have Windows. Rooms need more maintenance. Best part of the stay was good food at the hotel and a very good children's park next to the property.
Super happy with the hotel. We had a very pleasant 3night/4day stay. The food buffet was outstanding. Hotel staff were kind and super friendly. Great amenities like free WiFi, tea and coffee making sachets and flasks, toiletries, etc., were all available. Very convenient spot too. 10 minutes walk from MG market/Mall road. Super like this place! Great for family/couples or even solo stay.
We really wonder how Thomas Cook accommodated us this hotel for our tour package, room size is ok but not clean, they charge for room heaters and they didn’t give bill for the heater charges, bath room is not good. Food also not good. Front desk is hopeless.
The location of the hotel is near Paljor stadium, finding the place was not a problem. The front office manager and the concierge were very courteous and helpful. The rooms were among the best I'd experienced for the tariff. The furnishing, bathroom and toilet, were clean and almost spotless. Room service was good. The variety and quality of the food was quite good. The variety offered for breakfast ranged from continental to north and south Indian, quite satisfactory. The advantage of the location is that, though, it is walk able from M.G.Road , it is in an area with low traffic noise. The only disadvantage being the steep slope leading up to it. Final result was excellent ambiance, service, good food and decent location. I recommend it and I'm sure I'll be staying there the next time I visit Gangtok. …
