Stay was comfortable. All the staff are courteous. Great attitude. Very good ambience. Nice hospitality. Breakfast and dinner were very tasty, homely and did not affect the stomach. Very good place to stay. Suggestion to all tourists visiting Sikkim and plan to stay in Gangtok may consider Hotel Suhim Portico.
We stayed in the portico suite room. The rooms are divided into two sections- bed and living area. The living area has a two seater sofa, a single seater sofa, center table, wardrobe, work table and mirror. Its very efficient for two people and if you have to work in between your trip Jio and Airtel have good 4g here. the hotel also offers you free wifi. The chinese food here is decent and Takes Order from 8am to 9pm. The breakfast buffet was limited but was freshly made and tasted well (Poori sabji, bread toasts, tea/coffee, cornflakes, idli sambhar). You can get taxis for mg road from infront of the hotel. Costs 150rs for reserved or 30rs per seat on sharing. Mg road ia about 3kms and takes 15-20mins. Landmarks--this property is right next to lemontree hotels on distric court rod which helps in giving directions to taxis.…
This hotel is located near the District Court area (next to lemontree hotel). Cabs are readily available in this area and it is just 3kms from MG road. The staff is super sweet and courteous. The rooms are extremely neat and clean. The staff will try to provide you with all the things that you need and will also assist you wherever required. Overall, my stay experience was 5/5. Definitely recommend this hotel. 😊
Thank you Suhim Portico Tam for your continuous dedicated service to make our stay at your hotel memorable. It was our second time stay at Suhim Portico. We were there from December 27 to December 31 and enjoyed each and every moment of our stay at the hotel. The room was very spacious and clean, each and every utilities at the room was working properly and everyday housekeeping service was good too. Food at the restaurant were good and testy. New food items were introduced every day. We booked a travel service from the hotel too for our full trip of 9 days in Sikkim and had an excellent experience. Definitely we would love to visit you again in future.
I have stayed all types of hotels during my travel but never felt so attached to any hotel. The stuffs specially hotel manager Mr. Nobru will make your stay memorable. Top class service in affordable price.
The rooms were good, neat and clean cooperative staff. Our special thanks to Mr. Thapa really appreciate your kindness and prompt service. miss the local soup of your restarurant and the special karela ki sabji.Specially my kids miss you. overall a memorable experience ,Thanks for making us feel comfortable. cheers
All thanks to mr thapa with such wonderful service. The rooms are very good but best part is the food... excellent staff with excellent attributes.. everything was perfect nothing to complain about. Thanks suhim
Homely staff, average rooms. Limited room service and food options, no recreational activities, the size of the rooms are good but amenities are limited including drinking water too. Strict early dinner and breakfast timings remind you of school days again.
Modern rooms with all comforts needed, USP of Suhim Portico is definitely the staff members, the manager , Buddha and Sohini made our visit very special, going out of their way to make us happy, be it cutting fresh fruit for breakfast, or serving us specially brewed Temi tea ,even personalizing the music playlists for their guests .A big kudos to the team for making our holiday memorable.
Rooms are decent, clean, and neatly setup. Linen, sheets, and pillows everything was clean and comfy. Clean bathrooms and toiletries. All the staff members are really helpful and always ready to serve you with a smile. Food was good with a nice spread of buffet breakfast. Overall, really nice food. A special mention goes to Mr. Thapa, the restaurant manager who personally takes care of the guests asking of their interests and needs. The resort is situated on a hill slope. Rooms on the back side have great views of the mountains and valleys. The staff had also provided contact of Mr. Tamang who was really helpful in arranging transport for sightseeing as well as pick-ups/drop to various places. Our driver for the entire trip, Pema Lama is a really skilled driver and knows Sikkim and the roads very well. It's very tough to drive on Sikkim roads given the risky slopes, ghats, and dangerous terrain prone to landslides and heavy rainfall, but Pema made our trip a memorable one. Overall, don't hesitate even once while booking this hotel, it's worth every penny. …
