this was our 3rd visit to pondicherry and the third time we chose to stay at the executive inn. You might ask why pondicherry and why executive inn for the 3rd time in a row. why pondicherry ? is for you the traveller to find out. for me... pondicherry is not about cafes and cafes and only cafes ,its about something else.... its about those houses painted uniformly ,whispering something if you care to hear on a crisp December morning. its about those cobbled stoned roads where you hear simon and Garfunkel singing in your head.... its about the architecture the wide roads of white town its about the area around the governors house where you feel time has stood still its the feeling of wanting to sit on the so so clean sidewalk without a care in the world of what the world will think of you. pondicherry allows you to be alone in your own happy aloneness. pondicherry is not about religion its about being spiritual. but beware the nuveau riche of India are invading one killjoy had once said "all good things must come to an end."
WHY EXECUTIVE INN ? the name "INN " I don't know why the owners chose to call it such but true to its name the owner manager Beena makes you a part of her "daily family" she checks on you on breakfast ,in case you miss it she asks, why? and lets you know of the days special dishes u missed.
The front office works smoothly, like a well oiled machine The restaurant food is good.The chicken roast will leave you asking for more ,its one of best roasts i have tried. Chinese is commendable and the Indian is excellent, i found the quantity to be adequate. In "mui opinion "as the spanish would say " good value for money."
Housekeeping is an area they should work on. let me try and explain.
The lobby , reception area, stairs are sparkling clean, the rooms too are clean but i feel they could do a better job .
On the third day ,after the room was cleaned i walked barefoot inside the room the floor was sticky i checked the area outside the room it was smooth as silk ,you could see your face on the floor.
Housekeeping should also ensure guests dont have to ask for hand towels or toilet rolls , when we checked in both the items were not there!! No guest likes asking for something that should be there and yes instead of giving one hand towel for two guests they could give two.
Check out was done in a jiffy , would i go back ? OF COURSE I WOULD.

Beena and team were lovely hosts for our 10 day stay in Pondicherry. After our 12 hour journey they were more than welcoming and accommodated our every need. Breakfast consisted of a buffet selection of bread, boiled eggs, cereal, tea, coffee, and various local dishes. The staff working in their lower ground restaurant were very friendly and also delivered food and chai to our room. The rooms were clean, comfortable and were cleaned daily, along with new towels and a litre water bottle provided each day. The rooms had AC, fans and a TV. Centrally located within 5-10 minute walking distance of the beach and main attractions and restaurants. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. Thanks for having us. :)

Booked this property last minute because of change in plans. Wasn't expecting much but had an absolutely amazing time here. The staff is super courteous and very helpful and they deserve a special mention in the review.
Room was nice, spacious and comfortable with ample sunlight. The balcony overlooked an Amaltas tree which was just about to flower. Wi Fi worked seamlessly and I was able to attend work calls for the time I was working.
Location is the USP of this property. Most places to see are walking distance, French town is easily accessible, just a 2-3 mins walk. Beach is also nearby. The location of the Annex is few meters from the main building, which isn't really any hassle at all. It actually gives a perspective into daily lives of locals, as the annex is situated in the heritage town area.
We ordered room-service dinner a couple of times ( didn't go to the in-house restaurant) The service was prompt and food was delicious.

This was our first trip with our child in India and the stay was definitely memorable! To start with, they had a complimentary bottled water that is provided everyday which makes you feel welcome in the traditional Indian way! Our suite had a living room and a bedroom, it was nice and convenient inside Our little one enjoyed a lot and never wanted to leave! The staff were very courteous and polite. We met the owner as well and she was too kind. Most of the attractions such as the Ashram, Vinayakar temple and the Beach are all within walking distance There is an in-house restaurant where we got complimentary breakfast and had our lunch and dinner too at the same place. The food was good and were cooked immediately after the order was placed to ensure it's freshness. The restaurant is also open to general public and is in the basement There were a few other guests and all were very kind and courteous which made our stay even better! The room service was also quick. We really liked the place with all amenities needed for a small getaway trip. There was only street parking, in case you bring your own car, however since it's a small town, it's not a major deal. I would definitely recommend this place for accommodation especially for families We might make it back again sometime for an extended stay in future provided the price is right :) Keep up the great service guys!

Its very clean. I can defnitely say that. In a city like pondicherry, where most rooms are nasty, overused, overpriced, and undermaintained, this is a haven at a great price at a better location. Trust me, I would know. I spent all day looking at 15+ hotels walking in and out of them after my booking with another service provider (Oyo) got cancelled. Also as part of this review, kindly don't use OYO rooms as they are the worst. Executive Inn is at a walkable distance from the beach and most tourist spots of Pondi, it is amazing. I am very happy with their customer treatment. A great staff and clean environment in the heart of Pondicherry. Everything I could ask for.

“This was a fantastic place to stay. The management and staff were all really helpful and the hotel was lovely and spotlessly clean. Reception staffs was very helpful for us particularly the included Indian buffet breakfast which was a great start to the day. One of the best hotels in pondicherry. It is located right in the main road. Everything at White Town is walkable (if anyone is up for it), and this property does ensure that, including the distance to beach.
Catching an auto or Ola cab, happens right outside at any time of the day.
Food:
Foodfun is the in-house restaurant, serving breakfast till dinner. The food is decent and provides a vast options. Chicken chettinad is recommended.
Rooms:
Any of the executive rooms easily fits in 4 adults, as they provide a double bed and a sofa cum bed. Air conditioning is available and has a big bathroom with gyser.
Management & price:
Management is very cooperative and does their best to take care of guests.
Prices vary between weekends and weekdays.
Will be recommending this property to friends and family. Had a pleasant stay!!!

I have been visiting Pondicherry with family as well friends for more than twelve years and through a friend got to stay in Executive inn ,Pondicherry.
Everything is special. The propritrix Ms.Beena sureka is such a warm person, that she ensures that every visitor is treated as a special guest and attended nicely without interfering with the freedom /anonymity of the visitors.
The vibration ,tranquility and serenity provides the perfect ambience for the relaxation we search .This may be due to the close proximity to the location of ashram .
The team of staff are awesome ,who are there for you for anything you need without inconveniencing you and who are always pleasant ,cooperative and helpful.
The fact that many of the staff are there for ten years ,evidences the comfort level of employees family bondage built by the management.
The food has been consistently enjoyable over the years. Even the items special to you but not in the menu card are obliged by them and custom made to suit your palate .
To summarise it is the most ideal place in pondicherry for tourists on official visits ,personal tour ,or for total relaxation ,due to its ideal location in French city ,personalized service , the best kitchen ,most cooperative staff and to top it all the best management head .
Earlier I used to stay in Executive Inn when I visit Pondicherry. Now I visit podicherry only because I want to enjoy the wholistic stay in Executive Inn ,due to the irreversible addiction and welcome addiction I have developed to that Inn.
Anyone who stays will agree with me.
To top it all my granddaughters who were 4 years and 8 years old from California , and who had the opportunity to stay here say now they want to come to Pondicherry India than to Chennai –India.

It was great to be back at our favourite short holiday getaway after such a long period due to the prolonged pandemic crisis. Pondicherry Executive Inn is a lovely hotel located within walking distance from the Ashram, Promenade Beach, Paper Factory ,Senteurs-Fleurs en Flacon, Kriti's Eco Boutique, lovely french villas & restaurants but still away from the hustle and bustle of a noisy locality. Executive Inn itself has a fantastic restaurant that serves some mouth watering dishes and a wholesome buffet breakfast. The hotel is clean, has excellent service and very attentive & friendly staff .The owner Beena personally sees to everything and everyone - lovely person to talk to , warm and extremely helpful. It is the perfect place to come to relax,unwind, enjoy and return home refreshed and rejuvenated !
