We stayed here for a night during the peak tourist season end December. Loved our stay at this little boutique hotel with its open courtyard to sit and chat & have cups of tea/ coffee, it’s antique furniture and its history. At the same time the comforts of modern day living are seamlessly combined with its olde worlde charm & heritage. The hotel is also walking distance from the Ashram, the promenade & some really good restaurants including one right opposite the hotel. The staff is helpful and friendly. There is a complimentary breakfast which we didn't have as we had breakfast at the restaurant opposite. The hotel offers parking as well. On the whole highly recommend.

Boutique style hotel with only 10 rooms in a beautiful original building dating from more than 250 years back in a peaceful surrounding - coming in from the busy streets it is like a haven of peace. I had a room on two levels, spacious, with AC, a coffee machine and a double bed. Staff is very friendly, Indian-style laid back and everything is done with a smile - don't be in a hurry, they will get there in the end. The hotel serves breakfast only but that is no issue in view of the number of restaurants in Pondecheri. Breakfast is simple, eggs however you want them on demand, scrambled eggs, sausages, juice.and coffee. The French owner (who has had the original building longtimes in his family and has turned it in a hotel) offered background on the hotel and explained how and where to go. Convenient location, walkable distance to the promenade, vinayaka temple and aurobindo ashram. Breakfast is served only if we pre book, which we didn't as surguru was right across. The rooms are clean though small. The manager and staff are very friendly and helpful

One of the best French buildings near to rock beach. The food is so delicious and the property is maintained well and a great place to stay. A2b is also next door. Very close to manakula vinayagar temple and rock beach. Very close to mother samadhi

Hotel is very decent with beautiful architecture , antique style furnitures and plenty of greenery. I loved the sitting area which is kind of unique. Location of hotel is also very prime..in the Middle French style colony. It was just 5 min walk from promenade beach, and 5 meter from Vinayagar temple. I really had very pleasant stay there. My 5 year old daughter enjoyed the place. And top of that the staff were awesome and most humble. After a week I realised that I left my box of earrings there. I enquired at hotel and not just they couriered the box at my home…they never charged for that. Thanks you so much.

Loved my stay here. French styled villa in the heart of city, near to Vinayagar Temple in the white town. Walkable distance to Promenade beach, Ashram. Ours was family suite, well maintained and clean. Upperdeck is very beautiful. Staffs are extremely cooperative and friendly. Had great time there. Thanks to Mr. Sayyad. Definitely worth every penny you pay. I highly recommend this place.

My friends and I had a great time at the hotel. The stay was pleasant and the ambience was great! I must mention that we were a group of 4 girls and we felt safe during the stay at the hotel. The hotel being in White Town made it easier for us to commute to tourist attractions in less time.

If you love heritage properties, this is the one to head to. This beautiful property was built in the 1700s as the residence of the then governor. They have done a brilliant job maintaining the property. The pastel colors and the high ceilings take you back to the era gone by. The staff is super helpful and nice. Leo the manager is one of the best managers I have come across in my years of traveling. He went above n beyond to make sure we had a grand time. He made such amazing recommendations for food and each place exceeded our expectations. I will always wish him and the property the very best.❤️ Can't wait to come back and show more friends this gem I discovered.

The location is unbelievably advantageous, given that driving around in Puducherry is a headache. Most amenities are in proximal walking distances. Most of the hotel staff are welcoming. I'm very unhappy with their miserly breakfast service. The complimentary breakfast buffet is a scam as there isn't a buffet at all. Rooms are comfortable but not maintained well. Requesting toiletries and ordering in food from outside are frowned upon.
