Visited and stayed at this Hotel on 16th April April 22 for one night stay. Rooms are just ok. But the room is small for Two persons. Bathroom is very cramped. Food is not up to the mark. If you are a vegetarian, then I would not recommend this hotel at all. Though there are only 29 rooms in the property, the restaurant was crowded in the morning while I went for breakfast. None of the tables were even cleaned and I could not finda place to sit. At 9 am the restaurant buffet tables were empty and saw so many people were waiting to get some breakfast. I had to spend more than 45 minutes to get something to eat. Not a single waiter was seen in the restaurant. In the end of is an awfully baad experience. My suggestion is better avoid this Hotel if you happen to visit Puducherry.
Hotel is good and staff (Karthik Manager) is supportive. During the visit TV was not working . During the long weekend we had visited so hotel was also fully occupied. It is far from city and beaches.
this hotel was a very delightful stay for me and my family.. we had a good time there and really loved the staff's professionalism.. the hotel took care of the smallest of our request and was very friendly to kids. Recommend it for anyone visiting pondicherry with family and friends..
No property rooms Maybe d ratings r fake All tableware is of plastic Tea cups too of plastic Not at all worth to b here Tableware only puts u off Have booked three rooms but no use Employs very young children as servers Which too hurts
Not recommend to anyone.we were three members booked for two nights. 1) mattress just got fit into the room. 2)provided only a litre of water bottle for three people 3)no kettle or coffee tea in the room available.when requested for it rudely staff replied u come to kitchen and take it we will not give it in the room. 4) shampoo soap provided was just a spoon for three people. 5)no exhaust in the bathroom 6)Charged for AC room but AC stopped working suddenly after midnight and callous behaviour even after informing 7) not courteous and welcoming staff during arrival 8) far from the main city. Would suggest to take a room in white town area near promenade beach. This hotel is located in an isolated area so hardly any auto available that to costing 200-300₹ for dropping to main city every time and difficult to get a auto at night for this place. Was so unhappy that checked out the same day didn’t had breakfast and stayed for just a night.I was surprised to read such good reviews about this hotel. Memories of this hotel was totally a trip spoiler☹️ …
Definitely a decent hotel and worth your money. Linen provided are with small dirt and on highlighting the issue same is resolved immediately. Morning complementary breakfast has been provided but it's of an average taste. Room boys warranted some more proper instructions by the hotel management as they speak harsh without an proper intent. Dental kit they are charging separately which can be given free
Food is good and also the service. But the rooms got mismatched. Although they provided us with suitable rooms. Rooms are clean.Commuting to beach was a nightmare due to traffic. Please provide proper extra bed when paid rather than a mattress
Good about - location. Rooms are ok with basic aminities. No hot water in the morning time when you are ready for bathing. Breakfast is good . Tasty and you will find good quality of south indian dishes. Sambar is excellent.
While planning a 2 nights (27-29 Dec, 2018) stopover in Pondicherry, we ended up booking Hotel Tamizh Park. A quick search on Tripadvisor showed that this hotel is ranked # 11 out of 98 hotels and the rate was Rs.7800 per night and rating was 4/5. Without spending more time online, we went ahead and booked it through goibibo as suggested by Tripadvisor. Goibibo sent us the confirmation mail indicating that we had saved Rs.6,000 as the normal price for 2 nights was Rs. 21,500 and we got a deal for only Rs.15,600 for 2 nights. Yay! When we reached Pondicherry, we were shocked and disappointed to find out that the hotel did not deserve the price in any way. 6 kms away from the Promenade, on a crowded street with incessant traffic, it's like any hotel you find around a railway station in India. The front desk told me that the normal rate is Rs.2,000 per night (I found on tripadvisor as low as Rs.1400 per night), but due to 'peak season', the rate is higher. I see this as a shortcoming of Tripadvisor that is misleading. It's rating and ranking is apt for the normal price of Rs.2,000, but for Rs.7,800 - NOT at all. Hence I have rated it 1 out of 5. For Rs.1400 a night, this property would deserve 4 or 5 out of 5. Note that we paid Rs.5,300 for ITC Fortune Pandyan in Madurai before reaching Pondicherry and now at Hilton in Chennai we are paying Rs.7200. Feel cheated by the collusion between the online portals - Tripadvisor, Goibibo, and the hotels. If you haven'e been to Pondicherry before, it's no different than any other noisy and chaotic town of India. Only few blocks of Old Heritage Town, that too swamped by locals. It's not NYC or London, so no need to pay 4X or 6X if these portals and hotels are trying to take advantage.…
The only advantage is its location. You can reach all must see locations pretty easily. Parking facility is limited and can hold only 5 cars. The restaurant staff do not understand the visitors requirement and will force upon with a wrong order. There are better hotels nearby offering good facilities.
