The hotel is clean and well managed. Staff very helpful and kind. Check in was longer than normal, breakfast local style curries, internet slow and not always working, and location isn’t in the main tourist area but reachable in tuk tuk for 100 rupees. The lobby had amazing Christmas decorations and the hotel has a large courtyard off the street, so no street noise. One night there was a beautiful wedding there. For a short budget stay, it’s okay, but we stayed 5 nights and the A/C really bothered me as maybe the filter isn’t cleaned regularly.

Hotel was good and well located in the city. Had nice time. The room had a pleasant ethnic feel for french architect. The room had a private balcony where we enjoyed our tea time with squirells and birds.

We(A group of 4 friends) decided to spend sped the new year even in pondicherry and after looking at many options we decided to stay at Bon Sejour Hotel. I can say that it was the best decision we took. We booked two rooms. The staff of this hotel can be said to be a synonym for the word professionalism, I despise friendly staff who tend to act like friends , but in this hotel the staff are professional and they do what is expected out of them. Prompt room service and quite helpful. For instance when the AC stopped working as the AC inlet fused due to a sudden power outage in the whole area, they fixed the AC within 10 minutes,i Guess they have in house electrician .
Not only this, when we missed the complimentary buffet breakfast after a not so happening new year party(At Paradise beach) and we felt hungry , the hotel staff arranged breakfast for us at 11;30 AM even though the breakfast time is till 10:30 AM. And must i say that the breakfast buffet is quite good.
Also they helped us hire ACTIVA as we wished to explore pondicherry on our own. The room service people were always just a call away at any time in the day or night.
The Front desk employees , especially Miss INDUMANI was prompt with answers about every question we asked in terms of places to visit in Pondicherry and other least kown places which can be explored.
Rooms are clean,so are the washrooms. Clean Bedsheets and best part is that they dist argue while we were checking out by paying the pending bill, that is no hidden charges, What you get to see the rate is what you actually pay.
On the flip site the hotel has no swimming pool but that's fine as three of the major beaches in Pondicherry are just few minutes away form this hotel.
Go for this hotel people, rest assured that you will return home with a smile after staying in this hotel.

If you are somebody who loves to spend time with family, don't go here. This place looks more like a wedding hall combined with few rooms. I don't see a connection with the price associated and the ambience of overall property. Though the staffs were friendly and rooms were clean, I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay if you are a small pack of travellers.
Probably this might suit for someone who travels with 25+ travellers along with. When I was staying there was some wedding going on with all noise and mess that is possible, open car parking, poor restaurant ambience.

I think this has been one of the most comfortable stays I've had at any hotels. It's a lovely quaint property with the right blend of French and Indian architecture. The staff was amazing....right from the manager , who was simply delightful and so considerate for the smallest of things ....

We checked in last week and satisfied with the great service provided by the staff. A special mention about the manager Mr.Zakir, who took wonderful care of us. We loved the service so much, that Bonsejour became our daily destination. We look forward to staying there when we we visit Pondicherry next. Nice place to stay, with beautiful Lawn decoration.
