Hotel Annamalai International is a luxury 4-star hotel located in the heart of Pondicherry. The hotel offers the best facilities and caters to both leisure and business travellers. It is just a few kilometres from the clean beaches of Pondicherry. It is well-connected to the bustling urban life of the union territory. I had the opportunity to stay in this hotel with my aged mother and my spouse for two nights (20th & 24th Jan2025) recently. All three of us are senior citizens and in particular mother was about 90 years old needing wheelchair services. Right from our arrival (on both occasions) the hotel provided us with excellent services including complete assistance with their wheelchair services whenever required. The hospitality shown by their reception, house keeping and room service staff were excellent on both the occasions. The room allotted to us (on both occasions) was spacious and clean with a good view. The toilets was very clean and comfortable. The room was provided with sufficient quantity of tea/coffee ingredients in the coffee maker table, toiletries, linen etc The room service was on time and the food served was very good. Excellent ambience was present in the lobby, the staircase and the corridors. An attractive transparent lift was also present in the hotel. Though the hotel is a roadside establishment, the double layer sealed soundproof glass panels ensures noise free environment inside the room. Overall, our stay in this was very comfortable, safe and memorable. I will definitely recommend this hotel for a safe and memorable family stay. Good show.

Myself and my wife stayed in this hotel on 9th September 2022. The hotel is located 3 KMs from the beach and main market but easy to reach. I booked through Agoda.com. I asked them whether early check-in is possible as the check in time is mentioned as 2.00 PM. They said, they will charge extra Rs.1000 + for early check in subject to availability, hence, I avoided. I reached the hotel at 1.00 pm and immediately I got my room in the fifth floor and the check-in experience were smooth. The room size was too big and they have provided two big twin beds and it can accommodate two couple and two kids (such a large size beds). the room and toilets were kept clean, and hygiene and all the basic amenities were there like, coffee, tea packets, kettle, two water bottles, mini-bar, toiletries etc. They have given complimentary breakfast and the width and depth was good. The hotel has a restaurant and bar. They serve drinks even in the restaurant and even room service is also available. As you know, Pondicherry is known for cheap liquor. The food taste is good, and the cost is also normal. Overall, it was a good experience and I recommend this hotel.

Clean rooms, fantastic food and friendly staff. The numerous hand sanitizing stations throughout the place makes it all the more hygienic.

We have stayed in the hotel for 3 days in Jan 2024. Bed spreads and pillow covers are not being changed daily. Wash room also not cleaned daily. Hair dryer and fridge are like at museum not working condition. Each and every item like cofee powder,soaps we have to request and get no refilling automatically.

Before you start reading my review kindly check my credentials. I have 100+ reviews and writing since 2009. I have wide experience of travelling all with my family (no solo/ group tours). In my blogging, never ever I wrote anything bad about ant hotel, restaurant as I find the people are good in India in travel industry. May be some are very warm some are less but it is OK. I never feel humiliated.Never ever I encountered this type of rude arrogant & disrespectful hotel staff and policy towards customers. I booked a premium room in this hotel as we are travelling as couple and 14 yrs child and the room photo and description showed as 1 big double bed and 1 single bed and room capacity 2 adults + 2 kids which was more than sufficient for us as were three only. There were 2 options as EP, CP. We booked with breakfast. As we reached there, while checking in the hotel staff asked for Rs 2000/- per night with all taxes for an extra person. We were shocked and told we booked premium room (2+1 bed) because we are 3 and anyway the room capacity is of 4. He talked and insisted very rudely. We requested then to shift us to Standard room and adjust the rent as we are exceeding our budget, He did not listen, Then we requested that give us 'only room' we do not need breakfast then also it will not burden us financially. They did not accommodate that also. After arriving a beautiful place like Puducherry our mood totally spoilt. They made us to pay Rs 4000/- for 2 nights. In our 2 days stay we found 2 more families with same experience. So please choose this hotel carefully and fill number of people correctly. They will squeeze your money like anything and not at all cooperative. The hotel is very good infrastructure wise but as the saying goes" It is the people who makes your stay memorable not the house/ hotel". In that front they failed miserably. Staying in this hotel since 24th October 2022. The hotel has a real good decor, the buffet breakfast spread is good. Housekeeping department is helpful and always attentive.
After checking in, wifi password was not shared for more than 2 hours. Even on the second day, the wifi password was not shared for more than an hour. The frontdesk staff was rude and when I asked for the hotel Manager, one Rajkumar who called himself the manager started creating a scene. He was rude and started shouting at my senior citizen parents. My mother had to then tell him to leave our room. Also despite of booking for a premium room, I was given a standard room. A stay that would have been perfect was ruined by the attitude of Rajkumar who has no regards whatsoever for customers and is spoiling the name of this hotel.

It was a bit surprising the receptionist was a bit rude and enquired if we took some of the cutlery with us. Seriously ? By no means is this a decent hotel.
Kids were charged extra bed but weren't even given extra pillows and the room service usually doesnt pick up calls.

Luxury hotel with all the amenities one would expect in a good premium hotel. Excellent ambience in the lobby, stair case and corridors. Rooms are spacious, sufficient luggage space, shelves and rich wooden furniture. Neat bed linen and bath towels. Bath room extremely clean. Wash basin and closet sparkle. Granite Wash basin counter is big enough to keep all toiletries. Rooms are cleaned every day. Tea kettle, safe deposit locker and basic toiletries provided. Marble and granite flooring. Room service prompt. Requests are attended immediately. Hotel staff courteous. Large restaurant. Buffett breakfast has good spread. Food is tasty and not highly prized. Fully worth the money. If you are visiting Pondicherry with your family, you don't have to think twice to choose this hotel. Very pleasant comfortable stay guarenteed.

We had checked in this hotel for 5 nights on 2 different occasions in the same week in February 2024. We selected this hotel for our recent stay due to past experience in the previous years. However, we were totally disappointed with the service standards of the hotel and will never recommend anyone to choose this hotel. Security and counter staff were rude when we checked in after midnight and no one was at the reception. We had to wait for 15 mins before a staff attended to us. Do look out for the counter staff with the hood(head covering). He was rude.
On our second occasion during that week, we noticed stains on the bedsheets on both our beds and when we told the staff about it, the person told us it was a laundry stain. A ridiculous reply instead of getting to change the bedsheet, Totally unacceptable.
However we had a pleasant experience for the dining in for breakfast as the staff there was better.
In conclusion, this hotel should never be considered for your stay.

Good rooms, nice facilities like parking and swimming pool. However we were incentivised to purchase dinner coupons for 600 Rs per adult. For five of us that was Rs 3,000. The Waiter/FB manager accepted our coupons but did not serve all five of us. He insisted only two non-veg dishes for five of us despite us being told we we could have any dinner dishes.
They sell the dinner coupon online and then we are given some other advice apparently.
Else all was good - rooms are great, wonderful ambience.

Would not know about the tariff for the space and food, but you can be rest assured that the food will be of top quality and the staff very helpful.
They have quiet a few Banquet halls to suit every type of gathering.
for pricing for food and space its best you write to the hotel directly.
