My stay in this property was for 5 nights and six days.
The property is huge and they have a well equipped gym, a clean swimming pool and well maintained rooms and washrooms.
This property is located at a distance of 1 km from white town and beach. You can take an auto or walk for 20 mins to enjoy the beach side and great French architecture of the french colony ( white town).
I took a premium room and it had a kettle and coffee and tea packets, a small fridge and spacious cupboard, comfortable bedding, tv, wifi, hair dryer , study/ work table and washroom had all required things soap, body wash, band aid, nail filer , dental kit, shaving kit, disposable bags , fresh towels and running hot water.
I loved The coffee served here as it was a filter coffee. Food was good specially the chicken biryani and curd rice. Both had a great taste, other things were good too.
Staff is really helpful and they are super quick in providing a good serve.
Altogether, i had a comfortable stay here.

Room service and house keeping service are not up to the mark . They need to improve their speed and quality . Don't think they are maintained highgenic methods. They are using same hands for bathroom cleaning and water bottles etc . Which is not good and safe ..

We stayed in Anandha Inn, Pondicherry in Feb'24 end for a week.
We had booked through Agoda. The first thing that struck me was the aloofness and unfriendly approach of the Front desk.
I asked whether there was a possibility of including Breakfast in our package with minimal charges. The response was surprising. The receptionist said - Sir you are Agoda's customer and not our customer. I was amused and surprised to hear this. I said Agoda is an aggregator. Primarily I am your customer because out of multiple options shared by Agoda, I chose you.
However, the receptionist simply refused to listen. I asked him whether it was possible to issue the invoice in the name of my company. Again the first response was "NO".
Coming to room service, the in room dining facility is really limited. The restaurant for same reason is always empty and therefore we also decided to take our meals outside.
The bathroom tiles are not skid-proof. I gave a specific suggestion to provide skid free mats as a person could have major accident in bathroom. Outcome: No action taken. (Note: I stayed for 6 days).
The room kettle was rusted and so we were forced to order tea through room service.
When we checked in, we had to ask to replace the pillow covers and bed sheets as there were oil stains.
The room has windows that are sealed and one cannot view sunlight.
TV had only few channels working (the free ones).
By no means the room provides the facilities commensurate to the charges.
Positives:
1. Room is quite big. 2. Housekeeping was prompt. 3. They have a separate parking facility. 4. The wifi facility in the room is good.

I couldnot define the issues in few liners so listing then as points below: 1. Even after doing booking 2 months prior, they was not able to provide the rooms together. Also when asked to change the room they said once allocated they cannot change in system and the rooms can be changed next day. Means if suppose AC is not working one has to stay in the same room since they cannot change the booking. 2. Swimming pool was not working which was presented as center of attraction in the hotel site. they was not able to inform even when we were doing the booking. 3. In the evening washrooms were having only hot water and on asking them they replied cold or normal water is not available only hot water will be supplied. So if someone wants to use the washroom or have a batch, he either needs to drop the idea or get himself burn. 4. Even after raising a complain the fridge is not working, it was not repaired and we have to make several calls again to get the maintenance guys in the room.
And all the above issues happened even though this hotel is marked as 4 star and the price is high.
The only good thing is they helped to get the rented scooty for which giving 2 star.

This hotel has nice employees, but we reserved 2 rooms and they were filthy. I don't know how this hotel can pass any sanitisation levels even before the Covid pandemic began. I actually took alcohol sanitiser and cleaned all the door knobs, the card key, the bathroom counter top and the light switches. I don't mind low budget hotels at all, but cleanliness is a must! See the attached photos to clearly see what I am talking about.

It appears to be an old hotel, recently renovated. The room is not of great quality. We could smell the whitewash and later we realized the windows of our room could not be opened. Location is okay. When we visited, swimming pool was under renovation. Complementary breakfast is also okay. The reception staff is supportive, otherwise the lobby helpers are not professional.

I had been to this place with my friends and husband for a poolside party, we ordered food by 9 pm, and after continuous reminders, we hadn't received the food. So we spoke with the manager because we need to leave soon by then it was already 10:00 pm and we were from a different place. we had clearly told that we are concerned about the security to go out late at the night we had to leave by 9:30 pm. We got food by 10:20 or 10:25 pm and we left the place at 10:30. Nobody even bothered to ask where we stay or if we need any help.
By the way, the food was pathetic, There was no ice for drinks and we ordered a cock. do you know how did we receive that coke, In a pet bottle which is of Rs:20. They charged 125 + GST for that 20 rupees bottle and no one bothered to pour it in a glass for the money they charged us.
My husband was staying in the same hotel, and AC wasn't working in his room. After multiple reminders, somebody came to repair the AC, it was 10:30 pm already, he repaired something and said it will be fine in half an hour. it wasn't fixed he was sweating throughout the night because AC wasn't working. The cost for the room they gave in quite expensive, washroom wasn't even looking tidy. water is complimentary in the room, but if you ask for cold water they charge 20 rupees per water bottle. breakfast wan't complimentary, I think it depends on the season for them

The person water getting choke in toilet, not much cleaned...Beds are not comfortable, no tea or coffee maker available in the room so that can instantly, very poor services by the staff.

Bathroom cleanliness was average, they kept coffee powder sachet, sugar powder sachet and tea powder sachet but forgot to keep the milk powder, no floor mat, I had to call and ask for extra towels and used them as floor mat. More than anything they closed the swimming pool operation without any notification in the website that too during the weekends, thus our main motto of booking that hotel has been ruined. They mentioned quick check out but they will send the room service guy after 15 minutes we call the reception.

The stay at Anandha Inn was amazing. Pretty much everything was better than expected - including the venue, pool, food and location (walking distance from beach and on one of the most bustling roads with easy access to pretty much everything)
It'd be great if there could be smart TVs for non local visitors who do not understand many local languages so they can log into their own Prime/Netflix and watch their own stuff. The food for room service was a bit costly and way above market prices. The Bathtub can also be a bit cleaner. Rest was amazing! Will surely come again

Not very far from the beach. Food quality is good , although taste is subjective. The prices are decent and the hotel is massive with a big swimming pool
