Travelling with friends, we booked our Pondicherry stay just before August 15 (the Indian Independence Day AND Sri Aurobindo's Birthday). August 16 is Pondicherry Independence Day. It was tough to find a place for this long weekend; we got lucky with Le Reve Bleu. The place is run by a French lady, who has been living in Pondicherry for almost... More

Took the ground floor room for two nights but checked out after one night. Place wasn't clean and dust stuck on your feet. Extremely dingy and no lighting. Found two lizards on two consecutive days; a obvious sign of lack of hygiene. Wifi & geyser weren't working as promised and when pointed out was told that I left the geyser... More

We had an amazing stay at Le Reve Bleu. The rooms are very quaint - each have their own theme and are very colourful. There is fresh (good) coffee available every morning and the owner is really lovely and helpful. It was by far the best place we stayed at in this price range.

We really enjoyed ourselves here (my boyfriend and I) and will be returning at the end of 2012 because we enjoyed it so much. Pondicherry is a superb place and LE REVE BLEU is very well placed within the town meaning... More

Le Rêve Bleu is located 2min away from both the train station and the French quarter, a very strategic location because it is also 5min from the amazing French bakery "Baker Street". The building is blue, obviously, and attention was put into the decoration: modern, a bit too childish but still cheerful and colorful. Common kitchen, basement, dinner room and... More

“The blue and the green rooms upstairs were my favorite (we got the yellow room though). The common area upstairs is nice and colorful too. We paid 1200 INR per night, you could take it for 800 bucks if you don't want the A/C.”
