Very nice "boutique" style hotel in a fully refurbished home. Was upgraded to room #7--huge and very comfortable. Very clean allround, friendly staff and very good a la carte dining.. Good location in the "French" part of the city-walking distance to most points of interest.

We went for brunch to Villa Shanti, having heard and read much about it. But it was disappointing. While the ambience is nice a beautiful villa with an open courtyard, interesting furniture, the food was just about average, and the service was sub standard.

Yes UBUD it self is quiet safe . There are no security guard here but was a safe place to be at . You may need a flash light in the night to walk to your room . But the place is worth staying . You won't regret staying here
