I chose to book this place over all the others because of the added benefits of it being advertised as a beachfront hotel right on the water, a rooftop swimming pool, and an in house restaurant Reality: There is no beach view to be found. The Hotel property seems very clean, but the views you get will be of the next door neighbors; lots with a few piles of garbage, palm trees and some beautiful goats and a lot of local dogs. It is not on the beach front, but the breeze at night was so warm and gentle, it did feel like an ocean breeze, even though we couldn't see the ocean anywhere. There is no in house restaurant, but they will bring you good tea and coffee to your room and food if you request it, but there is no menu or restaurant where you can order or sit down. The "restaurant" mentioned in the advertising says it's American- but when we tried to order, it did not seem that there was an offering of American cuisine. The staff do seem caring and polite. They seem to speak English, but no French or Hindi. What the Hotel rooms do offer are spacious 1 bedrooms with kitchenettes that are very clean and brand new and a gated entrance with places to park. The colors of the interior are bright and cheery and new. The wi-fi worked, but would drop sometimes and the air conditioning works well. I just wanted to get this review out there so no one will think that they are getting a hotel right on the ocean or an ocean view or rooftop swimming pool right at the hotel. It does seem that a private beach and swimming pool are available somewhere for guests to use, but no where to be found on the premesis. The first day, the owner offered to take us there, but the second day hesaid that he was very busy- so we have yet to see if there is someplace where guests can have access away from the actual Hotel. There is hot water, but it doesn't actually come out of the shower head. There are two faucets under the shower. The left one is cold and the right one has hot water. The Hotel is also listed as sound proof, but we're pretty sure this is not the case, because there is construction going on during the day time- and we can hear it- but it didn't really bother us. What bothered me was all that was promised when booking on the internet but wasn't found. The things we did find to be true are written up above this sentence. I have found that many online booking options do not check to see whether the ammenities are correct. I guess they leave it up to the guests to write reviews- but basically on some online advertising forums the hotel can write anything they want about their hotel and it doesn't seem to be verified or checked by the online booking company. Happy Traveling!…
