Amazing hotel, a wonderful stay. Great location, beautiful building and rooms, comfy bed, hot water and AC, a great breakfast. But the best thing about it was the people. The owner and staff are the kindest most helpful people I’ve ever stayed with. I asked about a walking tour and they connected me with a guide. I asked about bike hire and the owner lent me his own bike! On the last day the owner came with me to the train station early in the morning to get my ticket as it was my first train journey in India. They also gave me a packed breakfast which was very kind as it was before the usual breakfast time. I can’t recommend this hotel enough, it made my stay in Pondi so lovely and comfortable.

This is a hidden gem in the heart of the White town. An old bungalow with 4 rooms. Everything is antique here including furniture and might be overwhelming for some. The rooms have high ceilings and all rooms are airconditioned. This is a place to use as a base for sight seeing or spending the day out and may not be the best for staying the whole day in the room. Most places are walking distance and one of the advantages here is the availability of parking just outside the entrance. The staff are excellent and service oriented and do accommodate all requests. The owner Mr. Bascarane visits twice daily and can be a big source of help on things to do etc. Breakfast is decent. The main charm of the place is the price. I dont think you will find a place in this range without compromise on quality

Located in the French quarters of Pondichéry, near the best restaurants, cafés, close to all the places one wants to visit (Sri Aurobindo ashram, Heritage places, museums, Botanical garden etc). The hotel is quiet, perfectly clean, with excellent breakfast. Smiling, efficient and kind staff. Mr Bascarane, the owne/manager, gave me the best tips and even accompanied me when I needed an Indian SIM card or a train ticket ( because sometimes it is not possible to get it online, and the Railway Station has unusual opening hours). Always willing to help, his advice was more than precious. It was a wonderful stay.

I visited Puducherry with my family. We chose Les Hibiscus because of all the good reviews; and we were not disappointed. It was such an absolute delightful experience staying here. Right from the time we arrived till check out, everything was impeccable. Bascarane and his team extended a warm welcome and made sure we had a pleasant stay. The rooms are spacious and the property itself is so beautiful! The breakfast provided was also delicious. It is also located well and a short walk from the Promenade beach and everything within White Town. Strongly recommend this property if you’re looking to stay right in the heart of the place and yet want a calm and silent place.

This is a beautiful heritage property in the French Quarter & withing walking distance to the Promenade. You have access to a wide range of Cafes and restaurants within walking or cycling distance. The bedroom was tastefully furnished with comfortable antique wooden furniture, fresh linen. The property has retained its old world charm with modern facilities in the bath & Wi-fi. The high ceiling, the flooring, louvre doors & windows, greens around, figurines, collectibles in the property are aesthetically done. Fresh breakfast is served in the dining area, else you can walk up to the many Cafes down the street. This is an ideal place to curl up with a book and enjoy a beautiful view of the sunrise which is less than a 10 minute walk. The Staff is courteous and very helpful. The Owner Mr. Bascarane personally checks in Guests and is always available on call for any assistance. We had a very nice experience with our stay at Les Hibiscus and is a great option to stay for a quiet break in Pondicherry.

Lovely place to stay in Pondicherry. It is an old house located in the French Quarter. Lovely homely feel and rooms are spacious and charming. Located very close to the promenade but in a quiet street. We were leaving to get a train very early the next morning but the man on reception made sure we got tea and toast and fruit which was a lovely gesture as breakfast was not due to be served until way later. We would have stayed longer but there were no rooms available. I would highly recommend a stay here in Pondicherry. (a very nice spa across the road with lots of essential treatments available - nice treat!)

I had a very lovely stay here few days back. The property is so classy and well maintained. Loved every corner of it. Aesthetically designed. Even the room and bathroom was spot on. Very clean and spacious. But the highlight was the breakfast. So filling with dosa, chutney, bread, croissant, eggs and lots of fruits. Tea/coffee and fresh fruit juice complimented it well. Service is so friendly. Mr.Bascarane is really a nice human being. It was lovely meeting him. Loved his friendly gestures. Will definitely visit here whenever I m in Pondy

This amazing house located in a beautiful French neighborhood is the place to stay when in Puduchery. It's a colonial house that kept its character and charm. The rooms are big and sparkling. Breakfast is good. The owner is the real pearl. He is so nice and helpful. I highly recommend
