I stayed here with my family on 16 Dec, 2014. The location is the only good thing about this hotel. It's walking distance from the station so access to small shops with gift articles, ATMs and restaurants etc are near by. The staff is good but very impatient. They cut you off in between and do not let you say your entire requirement sometimes. So, we had to go to them twice or thrice for a single thing. The rooms we got had no cupboards though the rooms were clean and spacious. Food is not at all good especially vegetarian food.

4 of us friends stayed here for 1 night in Apr '13. We were on a motor-biking trip to Bhutan and were forced to stay for 1 night in NJP.

It's just a 2 minute walk from the station.

Cons: It's not clean.
There were cockroaches roaming in the room (small ones).
Lots of mosquitoes.
Hot water, though 24 hours only comes in a tap. The shower only gives you cold water so you're forced to bathe using a bucket of water.
For Rs. 1600 a night, it's not value for money for the quality of accommodation they offer.

Pros: Food was not too bad (we are vegetarians). Pakoras were quite good.
People are quite helpful & nice.

The funny thing here was their 'garage' + 'staff bedroom' + 'shop' + 'restaurant' on the ground floor :). I actually found it quite amusing.

Overall, I would stay here only if there's no other option.

We stayed here only for a night on 27th April 2015, so cant tell much. We had booked a 4 bedded room and it was kind of crammed for a room with 4 beds. I had to request twice or thrice for towels as they had only provided one, in a room for 4. They are prompt with serving tea, but then it is from a tea dispensing machine, so hardly any time wasted to make one.

This hotel is a stone throw away form the NJP station and hence the most logical choice if you have to catch an early train. There are a lot of options/restaurants in the vicinity, so we ate out. They had switched off the elevator during the time i was there, because of the earthquakes and it was a pain climbing up to the 3rd floor. I obviously couldn't complain much as this was a precaution for earthquakes.

Decent place to stay if you just need a bed to sleep in for a night. Wont recommend it for longer duration of stay.

Apart from the fantastic location the staff behavior and service is extremely good. Room is good for a night's stay. Check-in checkout was easy, food can be ordered and delivered to the room. There is a beautiful Ganesh temple beside the reception. If anyone needs to stay overnight near NJP, Tirupati Lodge is the best option. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

Stayed at Tirupati Lodge was a nice experience. The rooms were neat & clean and A/c worked properly, had been with a group of 80 ( students) stay was quite comfortable. The food dinner arrangement was very good, food tasted well and the staff service was satisfactory and the most important it is a short walkable distance from railway station.

I booked an AC room at 2nd floor.
Nice room,ac working perfectly, food quality is good & service was on time. No hot water but plenty of cold water.
Nice stay on the whole.
Price wise , the hotel prices are a little on the steeper side considering it is located in a town and that too at the railway station.
These factors aside I would advise travellers to select this hotel for a few days and to catch the early morning train from New jalpaiguri station or the late night train as the station is located very near to the station.

I was here around June 2nd week for a night (near to NJP railway station) as was travelling to kolkata coming from Kalimpong with my wife. I took a non ac deluxe room around . First , we ordered dinner for exorbitant food items they had . Food quality was worst , and for a small cup of tea they took around 50rs. 2nd, the guy which gave us the worst dinner charged us for a tip which he took not even giving us the change which was due for the dinner bill. 3rd, we had a morning train to catch around 5am & unfortunately we woke around 5 mins to 5am . We hurriedly packed our luggage and the manager who open the gate for us was asking for a 100 rs tip for opening the hotel gate . We didnt gave him as I didnt had time , rushed to railway station only to find that the train is late for 3 hours. As we hardly had time to freshen ourself, we came back to his hotel for another hour or so (we checked in 6pm yesterday) for freshening purpose , the manger was RUDE & told that he need 700 rs for an hour stay. i told him as there was my wife who need to use washroom , HE DENIED SAYING HIS BOSS WONT ALLOW . We left the place very disappointing.

The hotel looks ok from outside but once you stay here you will get to see the real picture. The size of the rooms can at best be described as piegon cage. The food that is on offer is horrible to say the least. However, it is much expensive. For example a veg thali here costs Rs. 65 but the thali comprises of rice, substandard dal and one veg sabji!. The so called dinning hall is actually a garrage infested with insects and flies. Please re-consider before staying.

It's true that it's a only lodge to stay near to the station... And our journey was bound to choose this lodge due to its location. Our train timing was early morning to depart from Siliguri and arrival was at night to Siliguri from Kolkata...

Choosing this lodge is only because of that reason... Definitely not a good lodge it's so so ...

Food is worst ... Service boys are unprofessional but still tries to give you good service if you pay tips to them...

Toilets are very very small ...

Nothing can't help it travelers will choose this as that seems to be only destination if you are choosing late afternoon departure train from Kolkata for Dargelling or Skkim
