Recently returned from the Arona Gran which just seems to get better each time we visit.

The hotel seemed relatively quiet at tge time we were there but the same high standards are maintained as always.

On arrival our cases were whisked away while the check in was as quick; friendly and professional as always.
On my original booking i requested a high floor room and we were very pleased to be allocated a room on level 6 with the usual fabulous view.

We were impressed with the amount of hand gel machines in the hotel which were all kept constantly filled which was not easy as most of the guests were using them very regularly.

Once again we were very impressed with the choice of food and in particular the choice of desserts were to die for.
If you can't find anyhing to eat in this hotel you are an extremely fussy.
Also of note was the choice for breakfast and the large baguettes in particular were delicious. We also loved the butter machine which is very environmentally friendly with no packaging required.

The rooms were spotless and the beds as comfortable as always. I am not a good sleeper but in this hotel i never have any problems.

Every member of staff in the hotel is so friendly and helpful with a smile on their face. Special mention here for Marcus in the Restaurant and Adrian in the Poolside Bar.

The only downside was the usual 'sad towels out on the sunbeds at 6am brigade'.
It really is totally unnecessary as there are enough sunbeds for everyone with a choice of whether you sit in the sun or shade, or both. The people i am referring to are old enough to know better. But we were pleased to see that on a couple of days the lifeguard did remove a few. But they were back out again the next morning

Overall we had another fabulous holiday at the Arona Gran and hope to return again in December.

Based in Los Christianos (Arona) in Tenerife by the sea front at the end of the promanade so is in quite a quiet spot. Beautiful 4* hotel with a lovely welcome on arrival in reception. Most staff spoke good English and check in was speedy and efficient and we were given a lot of useful information not only about the hotel but also about the surrounding area. Buffet breakfast was from 8am-10am and was very plentiful, lot of choice very nice fresh tasty food on offer at every meal time. There is a lovely pool bar open from 1-am-6pm. The pool area was lovely with two pools and sun loungers facing the sea. Pool and Beach towels are available. There is a well equiped gym and a Thalasso Spa. We both had a full body massage and facial which was expertly done again with very polite staff. Th rooms were spacious (we chose a balcony room) clean and well equipped with flatscreen TV, WiFi, tea & coffee making facilities, toiletries, hairdryer, minibar facility, and in room safe (at a charge of 3 euro per day.) Daily activities around the pool but at the time we went (March) no loud pool music (thank goodness). We upgraded to the 'up Terrace' which is on the roof top with 2 pools, showers, loungers, quiet areas out of the sun, luxury pool towels, a bar and buffet area which are complimentary drinks and food including alcoholic drinks, breakfast lunch & light tea. Well worth it for the drinks alone.

Recently returned from our second stay at this hotel. Although we enjoyed our first visit, we were a bit unsure whether to return, but very glad we did. The hotel continues to make little tweaks here and there to modernise and improve. Food was definitely better this time - loved the butter machine! On Valentine's day the dining room went all out, with red balloons on each table, a gala dinner with heart shaped sharing desserts and photo opportunities, and a free raffle for a bottle of Tattinger champagne. The weather was great. We had booked a sea view and had a good room with a very private balcony. There are now few toiletries in the room, just soap and body lotion with wall dispensers of shower gel and shampoo. Large touch screen information boards everywhere. All in all, a great stay and we have booked for next year.

There really is no negatives about this hotel, the staff are lovely and friendly and make you feel so welcome and any help you need they are there. The rooms are excellent, we had a sea view room and every afternoon when we got back from the pool we sat on the balcony with a drink and watched the sun set, it was bliss. Lovely fluffy towels, toiletries, slippers and robes what more can a girl ask for, it was my birthday while we were there and there was a lovely bottle of bubbles with glasses left in a cooler in the room which I thought as very thoughtful.
The pool area is huge and we had no trouble getting a bed but as mentioned before the same people go out and save their beds but your on holiday so really no big deal, the pool is lovely and warm and good towels are supplied by the pool with the ticket issued at reception.
We went to La Palapa one evening and it was exceptional, the food is gorgeous and the staff are fine people who know their jobs 10/10 you people, gorgeous!!!
The main buffet restuarant serves food that will suit every taste at both dinner and breakfast and the seafood night is a joy. My only negative remark that I would make is the main restaurant is very cold and clinical, it needs a bit of warmth injected into it.
Thank you Spring Arona Gran for a lovely holiday.

This is a 4 star adults only hotel at the southern end of the pebble beach of Playa de los Tarajales and about a 10 minute walk along the promenade to the centre of Los Cristianos. We had booked half-board for the week end Feb / beginning of March and the place seemed nearly full. There was a huge choice at both breakfast and dinner plus attentive staff to ensure nothing ran out.
If you want to avail yourself of the exclusive "Up Club" on floor 7, you need to book. We asked for a look in and were informed that it was about 40 euros per person per day, However all snacks and the bar on that floor were free. Since the main pool area always seemed to have spare sun-beds we did not bother. In our case "exclusive" meant detached from everything else that was available.
Market days were Sundays and Tuesdays and the large and reasonably priced market is right next to the hotel. You will have to haggle over the leather goods though. I have never taken a winter holiday in the same place twice but in this case I may make an exception.

Lovely hotel, fairly quiet location but quite a walk to other parts. Half hour to Las Americas if you want more variety of bars, restaurants and shops. The hotel for me is a nice 4 star but does not reach the extra half star Jet2 give it, just the little things that would elevate it. Having to take my own luggage to the room, the cups in the room not being changed, just rinsed out despite them being stained with tea and me putting them aside to make it obvious they needed changing, having to pay for the room safe and use of the fridge. As I say, little things but what would make the extra half star deserved. Also, this was the coldest hotel room I have ever stayed in as the section we were in never got sun on the balcony and it was actually warmer on the balcony than in the room, you could feel the cold when you walked in. We were in 426 and If I returned I would have to ask for a room in the 50s to 70s as those numbers had the sun on them. The balconies are very private but once seated you cannot see anything but the hills because the balconies are all solid and obscure any view of the sea or ground. Watching the world go by from the balcony is not possible. Masses of choice in the restaurant so even the pickiest of eaters should be ok. Special mention to Sylwia who manages the small private dining section, she is such a hard worker and everything runs so smoothly when she is there, she is absolutely lovely and deserves a special mention.

We arrived at the Arona Gran Hotel on 12th August and felt straight away it was the best hotel in Los Cristianos. The hotel is spectacular inside and out, very impressive decor and very well kept. We had a room on the 4th floor and had asked for a quiet room which we had, no noise at all during the night and no bars with loud music nearby.

Check in was quick and a drink was offered whilst our luggage was taken to our room, the room was ready for us immediately this was early afternoon. The only improvement I could suggest, is at check in, it is a good opportunity for desk staff to ask if we wanted to hire the safe which was 3 euros a day, as it wasn’t mentioned so I had to pop back down to reception to enquire as a code is needed. All info for the hotel is app based but there are several large electronic display boards around the hotel you can also find hotel information on. The app is great for messaging the front desk if you have any queries.

The Jarrea restaurant next to pool bar has it’s own 5 course tasting menu, but we couldn’t work out if this was included or at a separate cost as there was no pricing info on it anywhere, but the restaurant buffet was so amazing we didn’t want to eat anywhere else as we enjoyed it so much.

The 3 pools are lovely, a spa pool really warm and 2 large pools. We had no issues with sun beds and could have found a bed at any time of the day, we felt no need to upgrade to the UP as there had been no shortage of beds. Towel hire is free and towels can be changed daily.

Food in the buffet, exceptional, no other word to describe it, the choices and quality was amazing, the best I have ever had at a hotel.

We felt the entertainment was good, mostly music based but on the whole it was of a good standard and we watched it most nights after a short stroll into the town.
Drinks are of excellent quality and value at the hotel, we did not feel the need to drink outside the hotel.

We walked into Playa De Las Americas in about 30 minutes, much livelier than where we were staying with loads of shops and hotels, nice for a stroll and look at, but we preferred Los Cristianos. Lovely feel in the area and you are not hassled to go into bars and restaurants like in other countries.

Check out was good, late check out to 3pm was available but we were happy to leave our cases in the storage facility by the front desk, and we were offered to store passports and credit cards in the hotel safe. A shower in the spa area was available to wash and dress in after using the pool for the final day, this was a lovely touch to end the holiday.

A thank you to Alvaro in the pool bar, so happy and helpful and does the best frozen cocktails and ice creams for you.

We would love to return again soon, we really can’t speak highly enough about the hotel, staff and surroundings, probably the best we have stayed at to date.

Today is our last day 😔... and we don’t want to go home !
This is a hotel for discerning guests and many people have returned on several occasions.
The management of this hotel is superlative ; all departments are clearly trained to high standards.
The public areas are spacious, spotless, with ample comfortable seating.
The pool area is equally maintained to very high standards with plenty of sun beds for everyone.
The rooms are well appointed and housekeeping is excellent.
Entertainment is available and suitable for all tastes but we must mention the pianist, Jeremy, as he is real asset to the hotel.
The food is outstanding and the best we have ever experienced!
I celebrated my 7-0 😉birthday whilst here and was delighted to find a lovely bottle of fizz in our room 🥂
Only a couple of niggles : waiting for a sandwich at the bar at lunchtime took over half an hour ... and we gave up the next day after another long delay 😔
The chap on ‘eggs and bacon’ was a rather charmless individual and perhaps needs a bit more in house training!
But never mind !
We’ve had the most marvellous week in this delightful hotel. I really want to return SOON!

We stayed here in June 2019 for just over a week. One hiccup at the start of the stay was that the first night we arrived we didn't have a room in the hotel! The hotel staff explained that they had double booked and put us up in a sister hotel nearby for the first night. Food that night wasn't great as we didn't get the chance to tell the chef about our dietary requirements yet, but to be fair we did arrive late at like 10pm.

After we made it to the room it was really nice and clean with quite a nice view. The hotel itself is lovely, we especially liked all the green plants and large chandeliers inside the hotel. There are nice water features on the way to the dining area/the pool. Outside there are two pools or you also have the option to pay extra to have access to the pool terrace UP.

There was lots of empty seating all around the public areas of the hotel which was a little odd as there was way too much of it everywhere you turned and it was clearly only there to fill space. However a few nights there was good free entertainment in one of the hotel lounges with dance shows etc.

We were a little worried about what food would be available as we are both vegan, however when we finally got the chance to speak to the head chef on the firrst morning he was very understanding and walked us around the large buffet showing us all the options which were vegan.

He made a point to do this each time we came for a meal, breakfast and dinner and the subsequent days we noticed more and more vegan options popping up within the breakfast and dinner buffets! We were very impressed with the head chef going out of his way to accommodate us and to provide great customer service. The hotel's themed dinners were also very nice.

The area outside of the hotel wasn't the nicest in my opinion. Though not the fault of the hotel, there is a really scruffy part within 2 minutes walk on the beach just outside of the hotel. But if you are planning to stay mostly within the hotel grounds (which with their two pools, spa facilities, great food, gym, pinpong table, shows etc. is entirely possible) it's all fine.

Overall it was a good experience, I would definitely recommend any vegans or vegetarians worried about meal options to speak to the head chef and he will ensure you have plenty of lovely food to eat during your stay!
