Lovely apartment complex is spotless amazing swimming pool Elvis the pool attendant keeps area clean and tidy very friendly and helpful Pool bar ran by Stacey and Pete is excellent they make your holiday nothing is too much trouble food is great and so cheap they have entertainment which is fantastic and so is the restaurant couldn’t fault them massive thankyou to Stacey and Pete would definitely recommend this complex can’t wait to go back

My wife and I have visited Los claveles several times over the past several years and enjoyed our stay on this occasion new owners have taken over the bar and restaurant. What a transformation it was greatly needed. The bar and restaurant has been refurbished to a high standard you can now get a pint for 1e during the day. The restaurant have a great selection of meals of a high standard and very reasonably priced. The resident singer Carol singer is a real treat and a great atmosphere in both bar and restaurant. Staying in los claveles it is fantastic, the location is very quiet and very well maintained. The staff are excellent and speak fluent English. Any minor maintenance problems we had were immediately rectified. The bar los claveles is excellent, the staff are very efficient and polite, the meals served in the bar and restaurant are first class, there is very professional entertainment almost every day and evening. I’m 31, I came in November, granted I may have been one of the youngest there, however this hotel has everything you could want, for roughly the same price as the cheapest air bnb’s. 15 minute walk to Los Christian’s beach (at a gay pace) downhill there, uphill back. Great heated pool area, restaurant bar serving breakfast lunch and dinner, store for essentials, AC, seriously a very comfortable spot. I’d definitely come again. And just a stones throw from the bus from the airport (40, if anyones wondering) the rooms are fully equipped, full kitchens with everything you’d need, balcony’s, tv’s, felt very looked after

Unfortunately this resort is terribly disappointing. We are half way through a holiday in a two bed two bath apartment. 1. It was not clear on the booking details that air conditioning is only in the two bedrooms. Hence the kitchen and lounge (which are on the floor above the bedrooms) are an absolute inferno. This means this rooms are unable to be slept in and are unbearably hot. Additionally as the kitchen is so hot the fridge is working over capacity and so does not keep food/drink well chilled which, particularly with children has left me feeling uncomfortable about meat/perishables in their staying cold enough to be safe to eat. 2. The tv only has a few channels, most are pixelated and the ones that do work are all in Spanish so no good to entertain kiddies if you don’t understand Spanish. 3. The housekeeping is poor and there is no information leaflet detailing when sheet/towels etc are changed and when the apartment will be cleaned. 4. The apartment itself and resort are tired and shabby - see photos attached. 5. Sunbeds are a nightmare. Despite a rule saying not to save beds and the pool only opening at 9am beds are reserved from 7am. So if you want a lie in just know you won’t get a sunbed. 6. There has been no chef for the restaurant for at least 5 days. So we have had to get taxis every night to go out to eat each day - we would of course want to eat off resort some days but having had to each day becomes expensive for a family.
Positives are Pete and Stacey and Si in the bar all of whom are very welcoming and accommodating. The reception staff are also helpful and friendly.

We're glad to hear that you found our staff, especially Pete, Stacey, and Si, to be welcoming and accommodating. Our team always strives to provide the best service possible. 👍 Please don't hesitate to come to reception so that we might discuss these issues with you and ensure you leave us satisfied. However, we feel the following should be taken into consideration: After checking we can confirm that we have not received any reports of the mentioned maintenance and cleaning issues. All apartments have air conditioning in the bedrooms and a ceiling fan in the living room. We also provide a table fan for any guests who may need it. Any issues with TV channel reception are promptly addressed and resolved by our maintenance team by retuning the television. On arrival, guests are given a brochure containing information about the complex, which states that all villas will have a full cleaning service with corresponding linen and towel change once a week. Furthermore, the weekly cleaning schedule is displayed in the information showcase right next to the reception entrance. The brochure also states that reserving sun loungers is not allowed, and our maintenance team remove towels daily when cleaning the pool area. Moreover, we are currently implementing an ongoing renovation program at the complex, including furniture replacement and kitchen and bathroom renovations. Our team works diligently every day to keep the common areas and gardens in perfect condition. The restaurant is independently operated by Stacey and her team, providing excellent service despite temporarily reduced staff. Take care, Ona Los Claveles

We love our holiday at Los Claveles and have been coming here for 20 years. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new. This year we've met Stacey and the team who have done a fantastic job of the pool bar, all the guys have been wonderful and the entertainment has been 1st class we've all really enjoyed it. Can't wait for next year to see what else you've done. I would also like to mention the lifeguard Santiago who was an absolute gem. He was very good whether trying to fairly arrange the sunbeds for those of us who hadn't booked or advised us on more suncream, firstaid, blowing up sunloungers and armbands. All the while being very funny and charming, nothing was too much trouble. It goes without saying that the reception staff, cleaning and maintenance staff do a great job

We have stayed at Los Claveles each year for over 10 years and have always been very happy with the resort. All staff are friendly & helpful. The apartments & grounds are kept in good condition , the pool is warm & the pool bar provides a good choice of light meals at reasonable prices.

A little disappointing after reading such good reviews on this place.
We arrived early evening after travelling all day and were quite tired. On arrival our bathroom hadn’t had the clean we had expected. We contacted reception the gentleman on reception was helpful. He offered another room but it was down a high flight across the path and up another spiral and quite frankly just as easy if we cleaned the bathroom ourselves. This was not the bigger disappointment that was after our first change of laundry the bedding had marks and stains on them two out of 5 towels were dirty and thread bare. When we mentioned it to house keeping the lady spoke little language but understood and said that room cheap price. We booked a simple room for a simple break but what was compromised shouldn’t be down to the price and especially after covid even more hygiene should not be compromised. A really cute complex, a nice setting and location but cleanliness lets it down.

We booked this apartment in Tenerife as we were familiar with the area. We had stayed in various apartments around the area, but were not familiar with this accommodation. It was perfectly located (minutes from bars and restaurants with the beach an approximate 20 minutes walk away) and the apartment was well above our expectations having been disappointed in some previous bookings. The apartment was clean, spacious and the best black out blinds we had ever had. It was easy to lay in and forget you were on holiday. The pool area never seemed particularly busy even though it was during the school holidays. The poolside food and drinks were reasonably priced with a happy hour between 4-5pm. There were pool towels provided that were separate to the towels to be used for showers etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any minor queries we had.
Our only minor criticism would be that the microwave took an age to reheat food and put us off even attempting to use the oven. The freezer did not keep things frozen leaving my three year old disappointed that his ice creams had melted.
If you're looking for a basic, reasonably priced break with a perfect base to enjoy Los Cristianos and its surrounding areas this could be perfect for you.

Had a great week at Los Claveles last week. Arrived just in time to catch reception open and was quickly and efficiently checked in by the very pleasant reception guy. ( night security will check you in after 9pm) Free pool towel received and 8 euros paid for the safe for the week. Remote control for aircon also issued free. Had a studio at back of site but I asked for and got a sunny terrace. Had the sun come up over the hill at the back and sunny till after lunchtime. The fire escape type stairs to get to the studio was a bit dodgy with a suitcase but I managed fine. Studio was well equipped with everything you would ever need. Shower was over the bath but plenty hot water and good flow. Aircon worked brilliantly and boy did I need it! Very warm at night. Poolside was a bit busy but always managed to get a sunbed, although I was usually one of the first at the pool by 9.30am! Lifeguard Elvis from Cuba is a really nice guy and I had a few conversations with him so that I could practise my Spanish. He appeared to be very helpful, finding beds and umbrellas and generally helping people. He's a real asset to the complex. Other staff I spoke to were very nice and always got a "hola". In summary I was very pleased with all aspects of my visits. As a frequent solo visitor it is sometimes difficult to get affordable accommodation by Los Claveles ticked so many boxes for me. Will definitely be back as long as you offer good value.
