In 2019 I visited Sands Beach resort with my family for 7 days. It was a amazing experience which I will always remember. The kids club is amazing and the kids absolutely loved it! They got to visit a aquarium with the kids club team and went on many fun adventures. It is also perfect for adults and elders. Their are many pools and restaurants. Also the beach is a 5-10 minute walk away from the resort. This resort is perfect and i'm excited to visit again soon!

A lot of the comments on here are a little unfair. The staff are very good. The facilities are on the whole are very good. If you were paying €300 per night then you could argue over the dust and the noise from the building site. This is not their fault. There are plenty of other building sites in the resort area. It’s called development. I have been working remotely here and it’s completely fine. There is skeleton staff but they do everything you need. Everybody is friendly and helpful. Nothing has gone wrong and it’s been a great stay. I would come back no problem. I did read the reviews before I came but still booked as the fact it came highly recommended. Nobody has tried to charge for sitting on a sun lounger. Mai Thai is fine. The terrace bar is fantastic to sit and relax. Bar service is excellent. The club sandwich is the best in lanzerote. There are plenty of great places nearby to eat and drink. Swimming pools and gym are good. They have a 25 meter pool which is great.

Had a lovely time. We were upgraded to a beachfront it was lovely just walking straight onto the beach and swim in the lido which was warmer than the pools. There was a bar and restaurant opposite. A lovely seawall walk along by the sea. Staff where lively maids were in every day and paths cleaned of the sand. The apartment was nice had everything we needed. No aircon though but we didn't need it but could be different if it was hotter. I had a lovely surprise as they gave a box of chocolates for my birthday. Some nice restaurants near and supermarkets. Also a bus stop and taxi rank by the hotel. Thank you sands for a lovely peaceful stay and we hope to come again.

We have been coming to Sands Beach for the past 10 years. Needless to say this stay was a little different to the rest. I will be as honest as possible set within the context of what is currently happening due to COVID. Lanzarote has been hit very hard by the pandemic and the area was extremely quiet. Many hotels were closed along with i would estimate around a third of restaurants. We arrived at the hotel around 12pm and our beach front room was ready and was one of the ones that has had an update in terms of internal finishes/furniture. It’s no exaggeration to say that on the first 7 days of our 10 day stay we had the entire beach front to ourselves which was great. The hotel has 6 plazas and 3 or 4 of them are currently closed with those specific pools drained of water. The other pools were open and the one in plaza del sol did have some dirt in the pool but we saw them being cleaned more towards the end of our stay. There is a building site on the left side of the resort as you look towards the sea. We were down at the beachfront and to be honest after a day or so the noise faded into the background and we didn’t find that it wasn’t too off putting. However if your apartment is located closer to the site I would say that the noise would be more noticeable from 8am onwards. I’ve read some reviews that were complaining about the level of dust in the hotel. I can’t deny that there was dust particularly on the floor in many apartments that were vacant but to be honest due to the pandemic I don’t think the hotel has the staff to be able to clean every unused appartment everyday when there were very few people staying there. I’d estimate that the hotel was at 15% occupancy during our stay (maximum). Our room was fine, cleaned daily, masks and cleanliness were to a high standard so no complaints. Food at the Mai Tai has definitely improved since the last time we were there. Lots of fantastic local restaurant about 10 minutes walk down the road (El Bocadito - meat restaurant) Weather was fantastic and we all get very safe. Despite everything this is a great place for a relaxing break and Lanzarote really needs support right now.
