Just returned from 9 nights All Inclusive at the Grand Teguise Playa. Fantastic holiday. Amazing weather. Great hotel. LOCATION: Unbeatable. Jabillo. beach is a sheltered cove directly across the walkway. Clear sea. Just need to be mindful of the rocks when swimming. Cucharas beach is only 10mins walk away. There are bars & restaurants in abundance starting 2 mins from hotel. Turn left, cross the road into The Plaza where you'll find The Shamrock & The Plaza bar for excellent food. Also The Venue & Abbey Road Bar. BARS: Amazing inside bar area (Bar Alisios). Plenty of comfortable seating. Entertainment every night. Bar serving until midnight. Outside pool bar area (Snack Estrella). Serves drinks & snacks from 10:30 - 18:00. Then from 20:00 - 21:30 for drinks while there is entertainment on outside. The saxophonist & violinist were amazing. Drinks are local brands & generous measures. Good choice of cocktails but are bottled pre-mixes not made fresh. There is the option to pay supplement for branded drinks if you prefer. POOLS: Three are three pools. One for kids & two salt water pools - one heated (temperature was spot on). Pools, beds and pool areas were cleaned daily. Plenty of sunbeds although people put towels on them from as early as 7:00am!! You are not allowed to use inflatable beds in any of the pools. ROOM: Absolutely faultless. Plenty of wardrobe & drawer space. Plenty of plug sockets. Large bathroom with brilliant shower & toiletries provided. Large balcony with table & chairs and one reclining lounger. All rooms face the sea but view obviously better the higher you are (we paid for superior room and were on 6th floor - view was amazing). RESTAURANTS: Malvasia Restaurant is a must!! The food is amazing & service excellent. You are allowed one visit per week on AI. Only a limited choice but enough for a different meal on two visits (which we did). The buffet restaurant El Jabillo was a little disappointing. Breakfast - a good choice of continental food, breads & juices with freshly cooked eggs, omelettes & pancakes & a variety of hot. food. Lunch - fair selection with freshly cooked food outside. Dinner - choice seemed to be more limited than other sittings and we ate out a few times purely because choice wasn't to our taste. Did feel that food didn't reflect the 4 star rating of the hotel & is the only area that let's the hotel down. STAFF: Second to none service from all staff. Restaurant & bar staff work tirelessly to ensure everyone is attended to. Everyone was friendly, polite & more than willing to help. Cleaners do an amazing job. Everywhere is kept spotlessly clean. ENTERTAINMENT: The animation team are great. Luis is an asset to the hotel. Plenty of daytime activites but not pressured to join in. Inside bar had different entertainment everynight during our stay. 90mins of chilled entertainment at pool bar every night. OVERALL: Excellent covid procedures in place. Hand sanitisers throughout the hotel. Masks worn in common areas while getting food & ordering at the bars. Would recommend this hotel for location, facilities, staff & service. We will definately book again in the future.

We had a fabulous 10 days in this beautiful hotel . This is our 2 visit to the hotel and again we were not disappointed . It was an even better experience this time . The Staff here are incredibly friendly , efficient and best I've ever experienced . They are are without doubt the hotels biggest asset . I'd like to give a special mention to Luis from the animation team , he was incredible and really made us feel welcome and had us join in the fun activities during the day . The choice of food was very good as was the quality . We also enjoyed the nightly entertainment and bar , again have to mention the bar staff , who were absolutely brilliant . We had a few issues with the air con but it was fixed promptly . If I had one small complaint to make , it was that there was no late check out available , so we had to hang around the hotel waiting for our transport but at least we had use of the facilities of the hotel and were able to have lunch . I had emailed prior to arrival but didn't receive a reply from the hotel . We will definitely return here for a third time early next year . Robert and bernadette sheldrick

Great location. Ok buffet food but the the a la carte restaurant on the Tuesday and Thursday was absolutely amazing. ( pre book early) Heated salt water swimming pool was perfect . We usually prefer the beach to the hotel pools but we spent most our time in that pool . Stunning lobby which had great evening entertainment always trying to please the guests and keep them entertained. Only a 30 minute bike ride from the capital city ( 10 euros per bike hire for a day ) and about 20 minute taxi ride from the airport. Highly recommend hotel really enjoyed our stay .

Currently staying at this lovely hotel. This is our first time at the grand teguise playa. Firstly teguise is quite windy, sometimes this is welcoming but others can feel quite chilly. The hotel is a short drive from the airport, check in was easy and staff were friendly and welcoming. All the covid faff is in place and most people appear to be adhering to it. The hotel is beautiful, very well presented, clean and well laid out. All rooms are seaview, we were in room 117 which is furthest away, not sure why as hotel is nowhere near full so why they wouldn’t put guests inthe nicest of their rooms is a mystery. Rooms spacious and clean, shower is fab, hairdryer in room, plenty of sockets including one in bathroom for shaver/toothbrush . Air con is great and at no extra cost ( bonus) WiFi is great and works all over the hotel including in the room, again no extra cost ( double bonus) The food is plentiful and we felt very good, very fresh, great variety and tasted good, they even have a gluten free section. Pool area is lovely, one heated pool, one freezing that was empty the whole time we were here, again why wouldn’t they heat both ? Both pools are salt water which for me wasn’t great, much prefer a fresh water and would of been better if one was fresh one was salt. Plenty of sunbeds to go round but you still have to entertain the whole get your towels on them early crap, 7- 8am is fine. Beach is right in front of the hotel just through a secure gate, sunrise was fab on this beach. Entertainment and atmosphere are not great but presume that is down to COVID restrictions blah blah blah. The “town” is a short stroll away and has an array of shops restaurants and looky looky men. Recommendations- Hire bikes and ride to peurto del carmen, Amazing. Follow the costal path to the left of the hotel, walk round the bend and the bike hire shop is right there. The ice cream parlour by the bike shop is to die for Book the catamaran trip to gracioso island. Great day out. Book online at excursionslanzarote.com Caesar’s restaurant, left out of hotel, just on the corner past first row of shops on right hand side of road. The patio restaurant, walk down past ceasers, turn left at the shop with the elephant outside. The lighthouse restaurant. Opposite shop with elephant outside . Shanghai chinese, walk through and out the other side of the square and Shanghai is just down that road on the right hand side. Duty free perfumes/ aftershaves are much cheaper in resort than at the airport and are all real ( in main shops, not these little shops, all fake) The cheapest one we found is right opposite the hotel, to the left a bit. Great hotel, great location, would recommend
