We had a balcony room first floor looking over pool. Balcony was large. Lighting in room is very bad. Lacking cooking utensils only one large pot and no sharp knife or cutting board. The hot plate dials were worn out and did not know what way to turn them on. The playground looks huge on the photos but is very...

After reading reviews of the basement rooms we were lucky to be allocated room 305; it overlooks the pool and is above the main staircase. The main room/kitchenette was a very good size, the bathroom had a bath and shower (although there was no plug for the bath so couldn't be used). The shower was always hot and very powerful....

We stayed at the Ionian Blue Hotel in Kalamaki, Zakynthos for 11 days in September 2016. It’s location is very good as its only a short walk to both the beach and the ‘strip’ where there are numerous shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel and grounds were well maintained. Our room was a good size with a balcony. The beds...

We were unfortunately allocated this room for a 2 week holiday we booked last October requesting on booking a balcony or terrace, neither the manager or the Thompson rep were interested in my complaints and constantly fobbed me of with excuses that there were no available rooms to move me to, there were clearly apartments not being used, the room...

This was our second visit to the Ionian Blue and have consequently booked for 2017,the changes Dennis and Helen have made to the bar area and the addition of the restaurant area have only added extra appeal to this accommodation, once again the standard of service provided by all members of staff was to be commended even during to somewhat unexpected...

My friend and I stayed in room 209 so luckily no dungeon. This is one of the best studio appts we have stayed in Greece for the price range. Roomy, a bath with a shower, only one night in 14 with shower cold but otherwise hot, excellent fridge, kettle etc. View over pool and pool bar although wall plant could...

We stayed in this hotel for one week in September after having booked a "balcony" room. On arrival we were allocated a room on a higher floor. Consequently everything was fine (as testified by many other reviews). BUT we did go through a few stressful weeks prior to the holiday, because AFTER booking the holiday, we analysed numerous tripadvisor reviews,...

Just returned from two weeks at the Ionian Blue Hotel , this being our eighth visit. This hotel is in a perfect location for the local bars / restaurants which are a short stroll away . The rooms are excellent & maintained to a high standard , cleaned on a daily basis. The views from the balconies are stunning ....

This was our second visit to the Ionion Blue having stayed there four years ago but this is very definitely our last visit. We had read reviews about the dungeon rooms and were very unlucky to be put into room 103. Dungeon really does describe it very well. It was so dark and gloomy that you had to put the...
