The service of stuff is excellent, it's a place you would love to go and have beautiful sunset , the view of the Kavango river. Food is awesome, very affordable place. Namibia is such a beautiful country.

Nestled on the Banks of the Kavango with a breath taking view of the River and Angola ...bordering Namibia. The lodge cater for basic but its very comfortable. For the overland traveller this is a ideal stop to and from the Zambezi area.My favourite is the braai spots with the view of the River.

The service at Kavango River Lodge is your typical Namibian customer service - don't come with Western expectations because you won't get them. That being said - having eaten at KRL almost once a week for 2 years - I can tell you we had some great servers - like Erica, Ezra and Frankie. They were always very friendly and...

As echoed by others the view is incredible--- go at sunset. The view gets 5 stars. Unfortunately the service and the staff are not good-- not friendly or helpful. I was told the restaurant opened at 5 and upon arriving they made me sit outside the gate for 15 minutes-- while I got eaten by bugs. Even when they let...

If you really have to stop over in Rundu (believe me, avoid at all cost) this is one of the best places in town. The view is magnificent. Ever since management changed the lodge and restaurant aren't what they used to be which is a real pity. The restaurant offers good value for money. Go for a fillet topped with...

No doubt, best View un Rundu. Meat is good, fillet, rump stake, ribs. Don't order anything else, you'll be disappointed. Not great staff but Namibia is not renowm for customer service. The sunsets are stunning though.

Kavango River Lodge is a average lodge in Rundu, situated only some minutes drive from downtown. Rooms are average but clean and nice some are very spacious. Restaurant has without doubts the best view on the Kavango River! This view is worth the trip. Restaurant has not a big choice of dishes but food is always fresh and the meat...

This is a very plain vanilla place in what is a transit stop. Rather than considering which hotel I suggest you reconsider whether you really need to stop at Rundu at all. The rooms were so, so. The bar/restaurant pretty down and out although the view over the river to Angola is good. We asked for breakfast 15 minutes earlier...

Excellent setting overlooking the Kavango River. Wi-fi is like morse code and is poor. Food is fine and beer is cold. Beds can be upgraded and replaced. Rooms can be vented and freshened up a bit and NO SMOKING signs added. Lacking quality. Security is excellent.

“Its one of the best in the region but the best does not necessary mean 5 stars, or 4 or 3! Rooms are well shaded by trees and has grass terraces in front. beautiful view. Book well in advance.”
