We stayed at Awakino Point Boutique Motel for two nights over the Christmas period of 2013. The location suited us perfectly as we wanted to enjoy the sites of the surrounding area. The Boutique Motels hosts, June and Mick were welcoming, friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were very clean and cosy and our unit...

A wonderful place to stay in Dargaville. Quiet, clean and comfortable in a rural setting. Great hosts, happy to accommodate repeat visitors. We were very happy with the trolley breakfast. Safe and secure, central location to visit kauri forest and nearby sites for tourists.

To be kind retro rather than boutique. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable, The garden was well tended and the position was quiet. The breakfast came on a trolley half an hour earlier than we asked and toast was cold. No sink to wash up even coffee cups, No cooking facilities only toaster and kettle. Really...

My husband and I stayed one night at Awakino Point Boutique Motel. A lovely quiet rural setting.June was very helpful and amongst other things, recommended a very good place to eat in town 'Blah, Blah, Blah'. (The food there was very good in a rustic setting.) The Continental Breakfast was superb, served on willow patterned china and delivered to our...

The furnishings are "retro" but it's all part of the charm. Everything's in great shape and very clean. We found it very roomy and well set up with everything you need for self-catering. We found the included breakfast very generous and loved the homemade guava jelly. Our hostess was very friendly and gave advice on dining options in the town

The place was spotless and so well furnished. Absolute quiet ensured the best night's rest you could hope for and was rounded off with a wonderful included breakfast trolley delivered to the door at...

We had been away from the UK for 10 days in October/November and out of contact via e-mail. Unfortunately, we were unable to receive a message from Awakino Point that our accommodation was unavailable due to a double booking. Our booking had been confirmed via AATravel 3 months before we traveled but & we had spoken to June on telephone...

Away from suburbia with sun catching north facing units together with friendly hosts provides a relaxing environment after a hectic work day. The free breakfast delivered on a trolley includes home made jams and muesli with plunger coffee and provides a great start to the work day. The provisioning of Wifi allows the after hours work to contnue, if necssary,...

We stayed for a night with children in January in ?unit one - 2 bedrooms. The hosts are very nice and the breakfast was great. The rooms feel a bit small and unit one just has a pull across kind of kind of soft door through to the owners home so doesn't feel so private. Unit 3 would be more...
